Hello. I'm looking for help diagnosing a [B]Lenovo Flex 3-1480[/B] ([B]80R3000TCF[/B]).

I replaced the display/touchscreen assembly last week. I was not able to power it on prior to the display replacement, but I didn't have the AC adapter, and assumed it was simply dead. Since replacing the display, the owner of the laptop has brought me the adapter, but the device is still completely non-responsive.

In my experience, laptops with user-removable batteries will power on just fine with the battery removed (and the AC adapter connected, of course). This laptop does...

Hello all.
My name is Roger, and I work at a small electronics repair shop in Alberta, Canada. We do almost no board-component level repairs, but I'd like to change that - I want to be able to fix more devices, and I really find the work fascinating.

As I pursue some hobby electronics design (I say design, but at this point I'm just messing around, really), I have some personal interest in the community here as well.
