hello! i need your help! i came across your photos of the underside of your vizio e500i-b1 power supply board. i just took mine apart figuring a blown fuse, however after turning over the power supply board i realized it was the smd resistor r9308. the dilemma is that i dont know what the 3 numbers on it are, they burnt off. i cannot make out from your posted picture what it is either, do you happen to know what they are, or would you be willing enough to look? i would be forever grateful for your kindness.

Every. last. one. THREE TIMES OVER. I even replaced the couple that came in the kit even although they tested fine.

The rep at shopjimmy.com was awesome enough to give me part numbers for the missing transistors from the kit. Digikey order should be in late friday/monday morning. I will replace those and let you guys know if that does anything....

Update on repair:

[B]We have had a breakthrough[/B]!! After extensive research on many service sites, I could not find [I]anyone[/I] who had a PS board in stock. On shopjimmy.com, they had a "repair kit" consisting of components that commonly fail on the board. So, for 20 bucks, I decided to take a chance on it as my soldering needed some practice anyways.

I replaced all of the components I was sent and WHAM! the back light now powers on! PS voltage testing revealed everything is as it should...

I have the same model with exactly the same symptoms and exactly the same NONWORKING voltages. The turn on signal coming from the main board to the PS board is switching like it should when I turn on and turn off. Im thinking something is nonfunctional on the DC output side of the PS board, but im still unsure. Would like to know whether i need to order a main board of PS board. help us please?!?
