    Thank you for your reply...

    But, that didn't help.

  • I need help ID-ing a Bad Cap.

    Hi,

    There is a small split in the light blue insulating cover of a very small Capacitor (flat + round) marked HL 221K 1KV.

    It is on the power supply board of an LG TV.

    I have searched the internet, and so far I have found;

    221 ='s a value of 220 pf

    K ='s +/-10%

    1KV ='s 1000 volts

    I was offered a dark mat brown one by RS a supplier here in Scotland, but it was not light blue and shiny, so it did not feel like it was the same kind.

    Also no-one seems to know what the HL means...

  • Re: LCD TV and Monitor basic troubleshooting guides

    Hello

    I am in Scotland, and now the new proud owner of a used(saved from the scrap heap- less the remote control) LG 42LE4500-ZA.BEKDLJG.

    Someone had cut the plug off the cord, which I replaced. When I turned it on, nothing... No lights or sound of any kind. It is completely dead.

    I removed the rear cover and noticed a 2 inch burn patch above the power supply board(the larger of the only two visible). At the top left of this board is a bar-code label marked- TADV1608032022108 (1.7)....
