I'm new to the thread. I recently got a non-working Sharp PNE702 cheap and thought I'd try to see if I could get it working. The unit displays the power LED green, and does a very quick flash about 10 or 12 seconds after you turn the power switch on. Based on some measurements I took after reading your thread, I'm of the opinion it has a problem on the DSP-222BP board somewhere.
