  • Re: How do you remove the ribbon cables from a T-con board?

Peter, I might have ruined the cable that goes from the T-con board to the main board. As I was attempting to get it loose from the T-con board, I pulled the ribbon cable out of the connector. I'd rather buy a new cable than take a chance, so if anyone can help me find the part number I would be most grateful.
    Thanks

Gentlemen thank you so much for the help. I E-mailed Shop Jimmy about the ribbon cable I need but they don't carry it and can't provide the part number for it. I have a service manual for the TV but cannot identify the part number, nor does it seem to show it either. If anyone knows where I might get one I would be most grateful.
    Thanks

Dskall thank you very much, I removed the ribbon cables from the top connectors on the top of the board with no problem. Now when I install the new board do the ribbon cables snap into place or do I have to lift that black piece to install them?
Now, the connector on the bottom left is not exactly the same as the top. The connector on the ribbon cable plugs into the connector on the board, or at least that's the way it looks to me. As I mentioned above, I have already pulled the ribbon cable out of the connector....

  • How do you remove the ribbon cables from a T-con board?

This is an image of a T-con board that goes in a 70 inch Sharp LCD TV(LC-70LE632U). You can see 2 black and white connectors on the top of the board that a ribbon cable plugs into. How do I get the ribbon cables out of the connectors?
On the left side of this image close to the bottom is a white connector that a ribbon cable with a black connector plugs into. I have already pulled the ribbon cable out of the black connector as I attempted to unplug it.
I have a service manual but am unable to identify the part number for it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  • Re: Sharp Aquos LC-70LE732U bad panel issue

I have a LC70-LE632u that has a screen problem too. It plays a picture or every input that it just fine. The problem is there are vertical columns of light and dark areas and 4 inches from the left hand side of the screen there are 3 or 4 columns of dots, red, green, and blue and from the right hand side of the screen to the exact middle there is some horizontal rows that flutter almost exactly to the middle of the screen horizontally. There is no blinking error code. To me it seems that it has something to do with the display, the channel...

  • 70" Sharp display has blinking rectangles

I have a LC-70LE632U Sharp LCD tv and when you turn it on even without a video signal half the screen to the right has several vertical rectangles of various shades of gray, plus some horizontal flickering and half way from the middle to the left several vertical rectangles similar to the right except lighter shades and 4 inch's from the left side of the screen vertical columns of red, green and blue dots. There is no blinking code indicating a problem and you can see a picture so there may be no problem producing a signal. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks

  • Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello everyone, I was an electronics technician many years ago way back when. I worked on 2-way radios and my experience goes all the way back to vacuum tube equipment from the 1950's and I'm proud to say I acquired a 1st Class Radio Telephone license and I wonder if anyone here is old enough to know what it was. I also have an Associates in computers(1995) and an Associates in Electronics(1975) Anyhoo I'm considering opening a repair shop where I live need help with my first project.
