I might try to repair the damage to the board I have. I got the TV for free so I can put a bit more money into it and still come out ahead. Hope the Q 600 and the resistor are the only additional parts that got smoked. I'll findo the other parts from a more reputable dealer. I may have more questions as I embark upon this task. That's for all the help so far.

I've emailed the company again and included pictures and a link to this thread. Not sure it will help but I'm trying. I'm guessin my board is toast and I'll be on the hunt for a new board. They are had to find these days.Leave a comment:

Q421 Q442 Q423 Q403 Q402 Q401 D401 are the ones I swapped out. There was a resistor beside each one except D401 that was changed out...Last edited by Pomeroy; 01-17-2017, 09:27 PM.Leave a comment:

I'm new here just searching for some ideas. Been struggling with a 50 Panasonic myself and a faulty SC board. Swapped out parts with parts kit worked for 2 hrs the 2 loud pops and it went dead. Obvious resistor at R60 gone but no clue of value to replace. Also HD a transistor come loose from the board.Leave a comment:
