Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
Main board arrived today, and after fitting and retuning, TV is now working. Thanks again Vince and Dick for your help.
By the way, the main board and mine were the same, a Bordeaux Plus BN41-00813B MP1.0. The part number I quoted previously was for an item on the main board.

Picture of my main board 1st image in post #1.
Picture of board I found here at Ebid On checking it again, I think this is a T-Con board.

Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
Thanks Vince and Dick. If I can get a replacement main board cheaply enough, I'll go for that rather than replacing the Eprom, as I don't trust my soldering skills. I've seen one for £20, but even though they give the say TV number it doesn't look quite the same, so I'll have to do some more searching.

Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
I tried the Eprom reset by connecting 5&6 of Eprom with a wire and powering up the TV for 20 secs. Then I snipped the wire and unplugged the TV. When I plugged back in, I was getting a solid red standby light, and the light at the bottom of the TV was on. I switched off and powered on again several times, on one occasion getting a brief sound. I also tried a factory reset: (Press "EXIT" button for 12 seconds (15 is better since you cannot see TV), then press "Left" and "Enter") and I also tried...

Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
I have attached the resistance readings of the transformers on the inverter and also the power readings on the inverter board. I took the inverter power readings while the power plug between the power board and the main TV board were reattached (i.e. no resistor connections). The power readings were very erratic, with 1-5 VCC readings starting from about 9 then dropping to 1, then doing it again. Similar with the readings for 12-14, starting from about 2.34 and dropping to 0.01, then rising and falling again.
I...

Vince, I did get that brief flash of light on the screen when first switched on.
Dick, I assume you mean the markings on the inverter board connector to the power board.

Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
I have 24V at both ends of that fuse marked F1 on the inverter board.
I've attached another image of the inverter - the camera on my phone isn't very good, so that's about the best I can get....Last edited by GeoW; 01-19-2017, 04:45 AM.

Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
Hello,
I have carried out the steps above. I got no backlights when the 1k resistor was connected to either BL or BLU, and the power readings were as follows:
PS (3.45V); SB (5.15V); BL (1.72V).
BLU (1.72V and the other readings were the same as above).
Thanks....

Re: Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
I can see where I need to make the connections, but are there any images on here that show how to clip the resistor to the pins to hold them in place? Also, when the connection is made to BL, does the plug from the PS to the inverter still need to be in place?...

Samsung LE32R88BD LCD TV – No picture or sound
Hello,
The screen on this TV is totally black with no light around the edges, and there is no sound. The red power on light is blinking, but there is no clicking sound. I have changed the power supply board (BN44-00155A) for a tested recon one bought from a TV repair Co, but that has made no difference. I removed the T-Con board (320WTC2LV3.7) and noticed that IC17 and IC15 on it (circled red in the image) look to be leaking around the legs. Can a faulty T-Con board stop the sound as well as the picture? I have uploaded images of all the boards and would be grateful if any of the...

Hello all,
I'm new to this great looking forum and hope to get some help with a Samsung TV.
Cheers.
