Still no luck on setting IR Bootloader to on.
I think it has to be done in DTV mode to initiate those settings. Thats why i have no code to unlock the menus. Unfortunately i cannot get the menu up when i select DTV mode, it displays a black screen and nothing else.

I think i powered it off on panel button. not remote. It was never powered off from wall socket?.

Its not asking for any code which makes me believe im not following diahs instructions properly.
In the 4725 menu the hotel mode always read YES and iR bootloader no, both always grayed out.
The 7935 setting allows me to change them , also reads to power off tv to write settings to EEPROM which i did.
I followed that link you sent to me in post 33 vince. Then posted the hotel Picture in post 38. It does not ask for...Leave a comment:

HOTEL MODE: MENU, 7,9,3,5
In my picture "hotel" hotel setting is off meaning its giving the user full access ?.
Pushing the 4725 in diagnostic settings its set to yes and greyed out.
7935 overides 4725 ?. which means hotel settings is off and user has full access ?.
if 7935 setting is on then user is limited ?.

when the tv is in tv mode i can get the menu screen up and it is actually scanning the channels but analogue signal was turned off.
I turned the blue background off and i get the snowy screen.
The DTV does not seem to be working. i push the Dtv then the menue button and nothing happens . No menue or tuning screen like i have in the tv analogue tuning section.

I followed that guide and the hotel mode is set to off. In options on TV Hotel options is set to yes and grayed out.

Had alook at service settings . see Pictures.

I went into the programming section and uploaded pic of settings in there too.
I have not adjusted any settings .
The problem with this tv has me tearing my hair out.
I get no sound or video inputs eg hdmi, scart etc. yet in the menue screens i can adjust the picture/ volumes/ pip/pap settings, everything is still user adjustable. There is no DTV at all....Last edited by Robuk; 01-04-2017, 07:17 AM.Leave a comment:

It looks like a spider lol.
So if the voltages are correct and the psu is working that means the main boards at fault ?. The psu failing has corrupted the EEPROM ?.
Ive had a few motherboards where the bios chips needed replacing and thats as far as my knowledge goes.
As mentioned i do get items brought to me to fix and mostly i am succesfull.

Yes this is the board i recapped as pictured in my first post ..
What pictures you see in my first post is whats in the tv now as it was bought from new.
Again what confused me, i was informed that you can switch the 17pw26-3 with a 17pw26-4 or 17pw26-2. You just have to make sure the replacement is from a 37 to 42" Tv as they have a 450v Pollycap and larger transformers.Last edited by Robuk; 01-03-2017, 01:19 PM.Leave a comment:

The power supply is a 17PW26-3
I went to that site too Dick and it confused me.
Spares2Repair show the power supply as being 17PW82-3 for the Acoustic LCD42761F1080P!!! Yes exactly right .
Thats why i asked originally for the true voltages on this tv model and psu because everyone ive searched for and downloaded are all different on the voltages.

I have that board added to my watch list. Rather than buy it i need to know whether the psu is at fault or the main board.
I have bought 2 seperate boards and a full set off caps from Ebay since the 16th december.
The Boards were DOA . I was assured that i could change out the 17pw26-3 board for a 17pw26-4 , this is the board i still have here and needs sent back to Ireland, more cost to me. The set...Leave a comment:

Sorry to confuse you.
The tv is turning on now via its remote. I push the source button on remote and can see all the inputs on screen to choose from, "see picture source". when i choose the source ,eg hdmi, scart etc it changes to it on screen but i still get a blue screen. It wont switch to my dvd player "scart" or HDMI ecostar set top box.
When i select tv source "on remote" i get the no signal as its analogue . On pushing the menu button on remote it shows the tuning section to allow me...Leave a comment:
