Re: Old AT power supply (model: API-3186S) troubleshooring/testing
See the link below. It is a translation from a Japanese site, but easy enough to follow.

Re: 47LV5400 Component Values and Schematics
There are 6 more filtering caps on the back side of the board. The chip probably went before any of them, but you can check them if you want....

Re: Samsung LED LCD UE32C5100 no power no stand-by
Yes. See p2 of the attached. The pull-up for pw_on is on the main board (r210).
Also on p2, you'll find all the ic's that generate the 1.1V, 1.8V, 2.5V & 3.3V. You need to make sure that those are putting out the correct voltages for your main ic....

Re: Another LG, 55ln5100 power issues
I don't believe that 11.3V is high enough to clear the Power Detect on the main board (see attached). Whatever is pulling down the 12V, may be pulling it down slow enough (relative to processor speed), That the power detect instruction is cleared before the voltage reaches the minimum threshold. Once it goes below that threshold, a flag bit is set on the IC. When you turn it off and on with the power button, you are not resetting any flag bits, because standby voltage is still there. When you unplug and replug, you are clearing all flag bits,...

Re: sharp lc32d42u power supply - DPS-178APA
The pnl_pow voltage comes from IC2007 (AND gate). It requires ~3v from both the cpu and mcu to send the pnl_pow voltage. See pages 72 and 102 in the SM....

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on
That, I don't know. The one asking about the DNP005, did not come back and say there was a problem. It was a pretty rough translation from Spanish, but understandable. BTW, not recommending that the OP go away from the DNP005, just adding that it may have a max VCC of 25v. As you said, a 20v zener is probably OK....Last edited by will62; 01-25-2020, 11:47 PM.

Re: when i turn on, Philliips TV is not on
On another site, someone was commenting on the high failure rate of the DNP005, and recommended that it be replaced with a ICE3BR0665JZ. That ic has a VCC range of 10.5-25v.

Re: 47LV5400 Component Values and Schematics
Looks like the 42LV770s uses the same components for the 0.9v power. I think that L502 is a BLM18PG121SN1D. As others said, that's probably not your only problem.
Edit: added a SM that may help...Last edited by will62; 01-24-2020, 03:20 PM.

Re: Another LG, 55ln5100 power issues
Before you toss that main board, do you want to check some of the required voltages?
I'm including the SM for a 47LN54**. The main board in that set is also used in the 55LN5400. I believe the only difference in the "5100" is that it doesn't have the SmartShare option....

Take a look at the attached schematic. I believe this is for your board....

+1
While you're waiting on the eeprom, why don't you run a couple of tests to make sure that the PSB and LEDs are good. See attached diagrams.
Edit: Once you have the resistor jumpers in the connector, put something like cardboard down, so that if you lay the connector down, the resistors do not short on the chassis or main board....Last edited by will62; 01-23-2020, 11:54 AM.

Here's a video of NorCal715 repairing a 153024 power supply that wasn't getting the 12v.

Re: Harvester keypad. No lights
If you want to rule out the TLC, check for continuity between the cathodes on an led and the out puts on U1 and U2. Once you find out which output pin(s)
are driving that led, use a soldering iron to lift the pin off the pad. Then recheck led....

Re: Harvester keypad. No lights
As RJ mentioned above, it's unlikely that both drivers (U1,U2) failed at the same time. However, if they are daisy-chained, a problem on U1 could take U2 out. Check for continuity between U1-pin24 (sout) and U2-pin5(sin) to be sure.
Also, you mentioned that the led backlights can be turned on for night use. I assume that the board gets a signal when you turn the headlights on. Need to see if one of the pins into B board is changing when you turn on the headlights. You'll need to replicate that for out of circuit testing.

I think that was a type-o. Here's a TLC5943....

Re: Panasonic led tv, 3 red blinks error, TH-L32X30M
In the SM that budm linked, I saw where it said that 3 led blinks indicates a
Tuner_SOS. In the next column under remark, it also mentions Panel_15V. If
you look at the block diagram however, it shows 3 led blinks is a T-Con_SOS.
If you don't narrow down anything on the tuner, I would check out the T-Con
voltage supply (see attached diagrams). Also, monitor what is happening on
the fault pin of IC4150 when you turn the power on....Last edited by will62; 01-16-2020, 02:55 AM.

Re: DC Ceiling Fan Motor Controller / receiver
You mentioned that it would work if the switch was left on for a long time. Possibly a cap going bad, or heat build-up and thermal expansion remaking a bad connection. Have you tried hitting the board with hot air?

Take a look at the attached SM. Slightly different model, but power section layout looks similar. Perhaps you can use it to help you track down your 5V standby....
