Hi i will check the joints and report back tjis weekend, anyway not sure if this helps when i first start the tv and there is no source input plugged i see burn in image with a channel logo in top right corner that i was watching a month ago last time.that only happening in top half.is this could b that panel has gone bad?

Seems like a nice idea. I think i should give up...unfortunately its very hard to find plasmas now.

Ok as my plasma had no picture just sound, i have replaced lower y buffer board that was short, y-sustain board that blew out and now z board(was told when i had grainy picture)..after that i turned on the tv and it did came on with out any issues but after few minutes color messed up, picture turned grainy again, lower half has dark/dull picture and upper half has high contrast/bright picture?? What should i do now?? Help!!! Please see pictures... -

last month my [B]LG plasma 50PA6500[/B] display turned black but sound was working,
so after reading this forum i suspect it was either y-sustain board , or the y-buffer boards so i replaced y-sustain board first, did not worked,
checked both y-buffer boards and found out lower one had a short IC, and that could have blown the new y-sustain board, so ordered a new y-sustain board and a new lower y-buffer board [B]again[/B], and now i got grainy/ snowy picture, [B]see the pictures in this thread[/B], ? is this panel gone bad now? any way to fix it? is there any other board... -
In my case that was the issue. It could be the same or it could be something else. -

Hi All
hoping i can get some idea with what is wrong with my [B]LG plasma 50PA6500[/B]. worked fine for 2 years with no issues then last month i turned it on and got sound but no picture,
searched online i found out its the [B]Y-Sustain board[/B] that could be bad, ordered a new one and replaced it but still same issue,so it was not the Y-sustain board, then i checked both y-buffer boards and lower one was the culprit there was one short IC in lower y-buffer board as i checked with an old analogue multi meter, Ordered a new lower y-buffer board and after i replaced the lower... -
