Re: Marantz SR5001 - Popping sound / vinyl efect
Thanks a lot for your help!!! The SR5001 unit finally went back to the seller due to the intervention of Paypal.
I already got a second hand SR5500 that works fine by the moment. Its doesn't have hdmi and no HDCD but I will be using it with my computer so no need to use video. I also checked the HDCD releases list and I don't like any of the titles. I already connect my computer with a S/P-DIF 24bit/96Khz digital signal so no big deal with the HDCD.
Again, thanks a lot you all with your ideas and comments....

Re: Marantz SR5001 - Popping sound / vinyl efect
Thanks a lot for your answers. I opened the unit and apparently somebody already tried to repair it. There are some transistors replaced (attached image of the input board). All the capacitors looks fine to me, no leaks or inflated.
I will check the transistor reference to get the gates and try to test it with a multimeter. Do I need those transistors to be out of the board? It would be less time consuming if I just replace them. Any other ideas?
I also reset the unit and run all the test in the service...

Marantz SR5001 - Popping sound / vinyl efect
I recently bought a SR5001 on ebay but it does not work properly. It only works properly if I use an analog input and activate the pure direct option. If I do not use the pure direct option or I use a digital source I only get a pink noise (I will update audio).
I think it is something to do with the inputs board.
Did any had a similar situation with any other modern Marantz dolby receiver?
Thanks a lot!
