If the traces are indeed damaged, is that reasonably fixable or is the unit basically shot? If it wasn't obvious already, I'm not an electronics expert.
This unit was dead already, so I figured I would give it a shot before it goes in the trash....
I have a Definitive Technology compact subwoofer that went belly-up and started buzzing constantly instead of producing any sound. After research, I decided to try replacing the primary 6800uf 80v capacitors . After replacing the caps, the behavior has changed, but not really for the better. Instead of getting a constant buzz, I get a periodic buzz/pop/burp sound. Hard to describe, so I posted a video clip:
If that picture is current, it sure looks like you did. Interested in perhaps swapping boards? I haven't been able to do anything with my PCB80830K2 because the pins don't match. My unit has been sitting here unused for a while.
How much did they charge you for the GCH-A35? Where did did you get it?...
Does anyone have knowledge of the pinouts on the GCH-A35 PCB for various wine refrigerators? I'm trying to replace a board in my Haier wine cooler. The original uses two smaller boards (hammy.com.cn #PCB80830K2.В), one for each zone. This was apparently obsoleted and replaced with a single GCH-A35 driving both zones. Sadly, the pinouts are slightly different. The old board amounts to 20 total pins whereas the new unified board only uses 16 total pins. I'm assuming some of the pins were made redundant, but without tearing the whole unit apart (it's welded shut) I cannot trace all the wires....
Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Joined the forum to see if I can get some help with repairing a PCB from wine fridge. I am a software engineer with 20 years of experience, but like to dabble in electronics and other engineering fields from time to time. And I hate throwing things away that can be fixed!
