450V @ 100uF capacitors on eBay
Good day; I have run across my first bad 450V @ 100uF capacitors on a RCA L32WD22; I think. See Pictures. I tried to buy 2 from a local supplier here in Ontario; but he wanted my first born and some body parts for them. Checked online; first at Bad Caps, but it is not available here. Looked on eBay and found these (See picture.); Nichicon 450V @ 100uF Display Capacitors; “PZ” series. The problem here is I cannot find them on the Digi-Key site for info. The question is; are they suitable for using in the repair of a monitor power supply board?...

Re: Advice and Recommendations
Thank you for your quick and informative reply. This is the information I was looking for.
I will be looking at the caps BC are offering; but I am ordering other items and need to get my total up for shipping. I will be ordering from this site in the future though.TC.

Advice and Recommendations
Good day;
I am putting together a Digi-Key order for some caps for use in general monitor repairs. I have noticed some caps are no longer available or I am just not looking in the right place. The caps I am having trouble with are:
16v – 330uF
25v – 33uF
50v – .47uF
450v – 100uF
I am looking for the actual cap values or a suitable substitution with series.
Thanks.

Re: 10volt x 50uF +105°C Radial Capacitors
I am starting to under stand that now. Before coming across this site, I gathered information on fixes from YouTube, and other sites; most if not all pushed the importance of swopping caps, value for value. Local hobby stores and even Radio Shack was suggested as a good place to find good caps. When I find time, I have been reading and learning as much as I can from good sites like Bad Caps; I have learned a lot but still have a long way to go yet. I am now just starting to understand terms like ESR, Series, and the importance of using...

Re: 10volt x 50uF +105°C Radial Capacitors
Thank you for the replies. The bulk of my use have been on LCD monitors, on the power supply boards. I have run across them on some other boards but do nothing to them. Generally all I have been doing is just swopping caps, value for value, I figure I can't go wrong that way. I thought I read somewhere sometime ago, that you can go higher on the voltage but not uF. Something like 16volt x 50uF? yes - no - maybe?
