Re: Speaker input broken hp pavilion notebook
I think I understand everything you said.. I had to read it about 100 times.. but I understand.. we don't have any stores like that where I am in the UK so will be getting the parts online.. I don't think I will be able to find any to match but as long as the pins match like you explain that I will be able to make it work..
Thank you very much for the time and effort you put in to help me.. I will indeed donate to the site.. I haven't got much but will give what I can..
Ps if you can recommend...

Re: Speaker input broken hp pavilion notebook
Hello friend.. I'm so glad you messaged me.. you are exactly the kind of person I was looking for.. you really do know your stuff..
I did try the tweezer thing and some needle nose pliers to no avail..
I'm pretty decent at soldering and have a decent sized solder station.. it was just indeed not knowing the name of the part needed.. I believe you have named it correct.. I will get some more information for you tomorrow regarding the mobo and the series on the laptop but to double check that I order the correct...

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
That is the same kind of chip I have.. wson8.. no legs.. do you have any tips to desolder this?.. do you use a hot air tool?.. settings if you have them?.
Thank you for the reply..
Also just to add have you seen the wson8 clips?.. 6.4mm pin gap.. do you think something like that would work?....Last edited by snoogy; 02-17-2021, 06:31 AM.

Re: HP BIOS unlock tool
Hey guys..
Great to see this community still going.. I ain't been around in yonks..
I have an Elitebook 840 G3.. I'm trying to unlock the bios.. I purchased a CH341A programmer and a soic8 clip but the bios chip has no legs to clip to.. I believe this chip style has a name but I'm not sure.. Is there another clip I can buy so I do not have to desolder?. I'm not confident and would probably ruin the laptop..
Any help would be much appreciated..
thank you..

LG50PS3000 turning itself off!
hello guys I am new here.
I have a LG 50PS3000, the TV is great, picture is great however it has started turning itself off every 10-15mins or so.
I have done a factory reset, switched off the timer thing, switched off energy saving, i have taken the batteries out of the remote.
I have also looked over the capacitors and see no bumps etc.
I have uploaded a video so you guys can have a look if you don't mind.
