Re: Clarion Head Unit Problems
The drive was already fat32 but i tried this anyway, but still getting the same error 2. Just wanna add, ive tried renaming the drive, changing the serial number, setting the partition to active and a bunch of other things with a partition tool. No luck. Im starting to think it could be a wiring issue. I had the unit professionally installed but im starting to wonder if they maybe didnt hook up the secondary power cable that powers the USB drive. But wouldn't that make nothing work on the USB?

Clarion Head Unit Problems
Hello everyone, I have an old Clarion Head Unit. It's a Clarion DXZ585USB.
TLDR version: I have an old flash drive that works perfectly on my head unit, but my brand new one wont work for some reason. Both are usb 2.0 FAT32

Re: Vizio E320-B0 troubleshooting
I've just finished replacing the power supply board and im still getting the same problem. Black screen and with the backlight flickering. It has gotten slightly better though. Instead of the screen flashing every 30 seconds or so, it now flashes every 5 seconds or so. Do you think it would be worth it for me to try replacing the main board?Last edited by KGdio; 11-19-2016, 12:20 PM.

Re: Vizio E320-B0 troubleshooting
I have to return the multimeter today so if anyone can give me an idea of what other connections I can test or if those readings are faulty ide really appreciate it.

Re: Vizio E320-B0 troubleshooting
okay, I borrowed a multimeter. this is my first time using one so bare with me if I'm wrong here but I'm reading 1.325 V on the power input to the power supply board and when the backlight flashes it jumps to between 1.400 and about 2.200 V. from the tutorial I looked at it said I should be getting about 120 V so I'm thinking it's the power supply board that's bad?

Vizio E320-B0 troubleshooting
Hello everyone, first i just wanna thank anyone who takes the time to read and possibly help out.
My brother had a Vizio E320-B0 LED TV that the screen went out on and was going to throw it in the trash so i told him i'de take it and try to fix it.
Im fairly sure either the power supply board or the main board went bad, but this is my first time trying to repair a TV so its all very new to me. I'm mainly a PC person.
My biggest problem right now is i dont own a volt meter, so diagnosing which board is bad is kindof tricky, and i realize that it will...Last edited by KGdio; 11-13-2016, 05:27 PM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello everyone, im a computer nerd, i like doing this myself. I'm here to learn more about tv's since i mainly stick to PC's. This seems like a great place for technical information and help diagnosing problems. Look forward to learning and hopefully repairing this TV my brother was about to throw in the trash!
