Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here
yea i did and still no continuity,HOWEVER:
when looking closely underneath the ic chips, i've noticed that part of the tiny holes there looks as if something might have happend there...
ot was only on the upper buffer, the lower was flawless.
pictures attached, maybe it's worth removing the suspicious ic's heat sinks and see any signs on the top of them?
your opinions please......

Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here
Ok guys,
Tested buffers( on continuity 1 lead on floating ground and the second lead racking throw PANEL connectors)
Both didnt beep for short, however lower board buffers did showed a lot of kiloohms resistances unlike the top buffers which were All on megaohms.
Any insights?

Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here
Ok guys,
Thank a for you affort.
The screen never glows it is absolutly dark regardless any voltages.
Rare that panels go bad-pretty comforting..
Well the buffer board are divided, one up and one down.
The numbers are
Up or top-eax61307501
Down-eax61307601
Photos can be uploaded if neccesary.
Thank again!

By the way,
Is there a method to checking if the PANEL is ok?Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here

Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here
OK so 2 things.
1.does the new board work?
2. Have you checked vsc and -vy voltages on the new board are they accurate?[/QUOTE
hi hamie,
checked the new y-sus board,
when z-sus is disconnected from psu.
the voltages i read in -vs and vsc are according to the label (-190,150) after minor adjustments.
so i guess it means that the new y-sus is OK and it's voltages are accurate now.
which component would be our next suspect?
thanks ...

Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here
hi everyone.
i am so pissed off right now!!
after busting my *** removing all igbt's and mosfets with it heat sinks out
i've just realize that all the parts which appeared to be bad will cost me 7.5$ a piece!
(in my country)
i have about 10 bad components which will be about 75$ which is more expansive than a complete y brd..
now the thing is:
1.as told few posts before, i am not sure that i am correct with all of my measurements. i want to clarify that while testing the components...

Alastair,if you wouldnt direct me there i'd probably throw a punch in the middle of the screen at some pointyou applied hope for the darn set..thumbs up!
Now as long as the components are out i would really appreciate if you guys can pin point exatly how to test them.
As mentioned at previous post there is a lots of chips from various kinds out there and my intuition tells me i made a mistake with the reading analysis..
Please refer in your answers to each chip so i can understanding better.
Thank a lot again...

Re: urgent help 50pk550-so desperate here
alwright guys, i owe you some answers...
as mentioned after checking all of the components upon heat sinks the results are:
1)all fast reaction diodes (rs 2001 something) appears fine.
2)from 6 igbt's (30f124) 4 were bad.
3)from 4 mosfets (fdff51n25) 4 were bad.
4)from 2 mosfets (k3667) 2 were bad.
some clarifications:
a.none of the components were shorted, when i write bad i mean that when neg probing the right lag (source) with the middle (drain) i get "OL", when momentary touch...
