Yeah i see, but there seems to be a lot of stress on them, so i am scared to break them or the components.

Hey guys sorry it has been so long. I tried removing the units but my soldering kit was too weak. It didn't melt nicely so i had to get a better one. Now i managed to get the solders away nicely but i have to get the units out of that heatsink. they are reaally tight. How can i bend open the limbs of the heatsink so i can remove the units without crushing the whole board?
hope there is some sneaky trick i did not know about.

nice evening to you all.

Okey guys, today i checked some things.
At first, all the hubs make short circuit so it is not only one cooker.
Then i took the multimeter and checked the igbt's and rectifiers. I noted that the bottom left igbt and the rectifier from the bottom right board are both doing weird things. The igbt is completely shorted out and the rectifier does not rectify accordingly. I hope this clarifies some thing for you guys.

Thanks for the help so far. I really appreciate it and like that we already got so far.

Okey guys, i managed to keep the cooker. my parents bought a new one but i still really want to fix it because i believe it should be quite simple and not as expensive as a new one (1200 euro's). After i write this i am going to put it back together and test if it is one single cooker that is broken or if it is the whole system. until i have result. here are the pictures you guys asked for:
The front left board
The front right board
The controller board (for the buttons)...

Thats a really good guess, i forgot to check if it is the same with the other heaters. Sadly, i didn't have time today and this week is going to be tough too. I might try to check on it in the end of the week if my parents didn't buy a new one already.

Okey, i forgot to say the breakers dont go immediately after plugging the device in. It powers up fine but once we turn on one heater it all trips again.
I cannot take the pictures right now as i am not home atm. But you are right, there are 2 another panels with 4 transistors each,
connected to a heatsink. As soon as i get home i Will try to look at it.

The fuses were never in there, i already tried with 20A fuses in it but they did not do their job as the kitchen group breakers tripped again.

• Miele km5951

Hey guys,
I really like to find out how to fix our miele ceramic induction Cooker. Last evening the breakers of the Cooker Group tripped. Because the Device is already 8yrs Old i decided to look at it myself. I opened the unit and found out the PCB has Black burn marks on it.

So something must have taking too much amps. Then i saw the second thing.

As you might be able to see, the Blue coil is a little bit molten. Could this mean the coil made a short circuit? And is it possible to fix this?

Thanks...

• Re: New Members - please post your introductions here

Hello guys, I am Max from the netherlands. I'm 19 years old and I study Maritime Officer on the isle of Terschelling. I like technics and science and I really like to learn something about circuits as my tv broke down.
I hope after this post that you are willing to help me with my tv and teach me something new about electric circuits.

Cheers!

Max.
