Yes the TV comes on with some light on the panel but no image. Fiollowing your comments then perhaps I should replace the main board first.

The details for the main board:

LS10 JUG7.820.1127-2 with date 2012.05.24. Bar code 919C2N1001170.

I have tried all over but have not had any success in locating the same board or a substitute for it. Any suggestions regarding where to try and obtain a replacement or substitute will be appreciated....

Hi.

I have a fairly new Changhong 42" TV which just died recently. Inside the chassis there is another model number LC420EUN. The unit utilizes mainly LG components.

There is back light and standby light and after viewing some comments wherever I could find them I replaced the T-con board with no results.

I suspect the power supply board and viewing a recent post point towards confirming my suspicions. The model number and details on the power supply board are:
Megmeet MP116-CH rev. 1.1 with date 2011.03.11. The bar code is E120111125200051....

OK, I finally made it here.

I have been involved in the PC industry for some years. Hardware mostly and in the process became exposed to the electronic side of things.
