Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Just joined and finally read my email that says posting here will let me start a new thread! Sometimes it pays to stop and read the simple, well-meaning instructions, eh?

Re: Sharp LC-42D62U Bad Display
I have a Sharp LC-42D62U and it SEEMS to have the same issues described above. I will try to attach some images, and give you some description. One day I turned it on and I saw a few "spots" on the screen. It reminded me of what I used to call "snow" on older TVs, but the spots were actually small lines of light color that were pretty stable in their size and position...until you cycle the power. Then the pattern would change. The picture has this problem no matter what input I choose, and when I click input I can see the problem...
