    Thanks for your suggestion. I should get a chance to try it soon. But assuming you are right and we are looking at a main board problem, is it just a matter of putting in a new board? Is there any adjustment/calibration needed?

  • Sharp LC-42D62U with video problem

    I am new to this forum, so hoping I can get some help. I have a Sharp LC-42D62U and it SEEMS to have the same issues described in a couple of other threads, but I have seen some contradictory advice there so I am posting my issue as a new thread. I will try to attach some images, and give you some description. One day I turned it on and I saw a few "spots" on the screen. It reminded me of what I used to call "snow" on older TVs, but the spots were actually small lines of light color that were pretty stable in their size and position...until you cycle the power. Then the pattern...

    Just joined and finally read my email that says posting here will let me start a new thread! Sometimes it pays to stop and read the simple, well-meaning instructions, eh?

    I am kind of a dinosaur, but have fixed a few computers and laptops. I guess it was just a matter of time before my TV needed fixing!
