back to basics, is the lens clean. also what environment has it lived in, cigarette smoke and fog machine smoke can get into optics and cover lenses below the top one.

its a 12v dc dpdt relay, on my bench supply it will still change over at 9V...

hi all from a wet and miserable Christchurch day in NZ, yesterday 24 C today 14 and raining.
anyways i have inherited the above sub-woofer, protection/power relay chatters on and off after a few seconds after power on. no dc on the output, output trans measure fine. all semi's before output stage measure ok too. any help appreciated. cheers all

Hi all from NZ. I have a tricky one here. the subwoofer power on relay "chatters" on and off despite no signal input. output transistors are fine. no DC output to cause the protection circuit to engage.
anyone seen this fault before?

Hi all, i'm new to the forum so heres my background. i was a tv/vcr tech before getting into the broadcasting industry. since then i've been involved in large scale p.a work as well as a fair stint in the alarm industry. currently i'm working for myself when possible following a pretty major injury.
i seem to get all the weird an wonderful repair jobs like controllers from scissor lifts etc though currently i'm repairing a HK powered subwoofer and i have to say what a piece of junk it is!!
i'm located in christchurch...
