  • Re: Element 50" LED ELEFW504 with white screen.

Well turns out I ordered the wrong kit for my TV. Correcting this error now and ordered right part. I would still like confirmation that my panel is fine based on the diagnostic test results of one half the screen going dark

Ok so I disconnected one ribbon of the T conn at a time and no change to screen. The backlights are on and still blank screen with no images. I was confused as to how I go from a white screen to black screen so I hooked up the old T-Con board and disconnected one ribbon at a time and one side goes dark while the other maintains the white screen somewhat. This happened with both ribbons. Attached are pictures of the ribbon removal test of the old T-Con board. I also noticed that the T-Con boards are different in some ways. I attached...

Well after ordering and installing the complete TV repair kit from shopJimmy.com which includes the T conn and power board, I am getting a blank screen after installation. The menu and source list is not showing up. The backlights are working but I am getting no images. Tried the flashlight test to see if images show up with the light and nothing. Any ideas on what steps to take next? I am still getting sound and it does seem to auto select the source coming in when I plug my computer into HDMI 1. The screen isn't white anymore...

Well, when I was taking the TV apart I discovered what that crunching sound was when I was putting the stand back on. Apparently the screws that secure the stand attach to the metal panel that covers the T conn board and those screws are just long enough to barely miss the board. Well, I am glad that I ordered a new T conn board because I ruined it. Good news is that I am getting sound and when I detached the T conn from the screen, half the picture went off. Funny it was the opposite side that went off then I assumed would would...

  • Element 50" LED ELEFW504 with white screen.

I recently saved the landfill from another salvageable flat screen and it has completely white screen. Already took off the back panel to inspect the power board and T Con boards. No visible capacitor damage and I cleaned all connections with IP alcohol and reconnected. Still no change and I can't locate the surface mount fuse on the T Con board to check it. Any ideas of what to look for would be greatly appreciated. I ordered a full replacement kit with power board and T Con board in the mean time....

Hello forum! Found this sight while looking for information to diagnose a LED tv that someone was going to throw in the trash. I believe I can fix it and save the Earth from trash that can be useful.
