Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Thank you Budm,
I ordered a set of the RTExxxx just in case as their resistance is around 10-15 ohms when I checked them at 18.5c.

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
The TV turned on last night and has been working good since then. There was two pins on the two relays that were not soldered. After soldering them to the board the TV fired right up and the picture is good! Hopefully it is fixed for a while! I want to thank everyone for helping me with my TV and putting up with my confusion.

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Martino,
I replaced C102 as well as the IC with no luck. When doing low voltage checks on the power board when the power board is turned on there is no voltages to any of the connectors going to the main board. This makes me believe that something on the power board is fried. I also noticed that there is some discoloration on the power board around RTE801 and RTE802, which makes me believe that that is the problem on the power board. What do you thing?

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello,
Does anyone know how to tell if the RTE801/802 are still working? As well as what the part number is for them. When replacing them do I have to take any precautions for the board as the backside seems to be a little burnt. I have attached a photo of the front and back of the board where the RTE801/802 are attached. Any help will be super appreciated. Thank you in advance....

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Flocko,
I have checked the voltages of all of the metal strips located on the board. I have attached a excel sheet that has all of the JB numbers that were reading anything besides zero. If you would like I can create a photo over top of a schematic with the voltages corresponding to the JB number. When doing this I found some discoloration on the board, I have attached a photo to this post. Sorry for the delay in reply, the last two weeks have been very crazy!
Thank you so much for your help!...

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Flocko,
Only the main board and power is connected the the power board. The Pson line is connected from the PSon to GND_D5.3V and the only pin that has a voltage is the standby pin. I then redid it by grounding the PSon to the chasis and had the same results.

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Flocko,
I do hear a relay click when I hold PSon to the ground then another one I remove the ground. All connectors to the powerboard have been disconnected besides the mainboard connector. What do you think it is?

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
When PSon the only voltage reading on the Mainboard connector is the standby pin which is 5.23 V, all others are zero.

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello flocko,
After turning on the Power board I checked the main board connector voltages. The only two that are showing a voltage are the PS_on and the Standby pin.

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Flocko,
When putting a resistor between the PS_on, and a ground the power board clicks on and stays on. When all boards are connected to the power board and the PS_on is connected to the ground the relay clicks and stays on. The connector I did this on I could not find the +Vson and 5vsby you were talking about. I have attached a photo of the connector I used....

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello, I have tried to unplug all other boards except for the mainboard and logic board connected and the same power cycling happens. I do not have the remote but I tried pressing the power button and the relays still kept on clicking.

Hello Flocko,
The LED stays on all the time even after the relay clicks. What do you think my next steps are?
Thank you again

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
I replaced the capacitor with no luck. I did a voltage check using the Va and Vs test posts on the Power board and was showing no voltage. What would my next steps be to verify that there is something wrong on the Power board and not the main board or logic board not turning on the Va or Vs.
Thank you

I am going to order the capacitor and I will update once I have changed it out! Thank you Cliff.

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Cliff here are some photos of the Main board. I was unsure what you meant by main board so I took one of the bottom of the power supply board and two of the main board that has the inputs on it. Sorry that the one of of the Power supply is upside down, I am unsure on how to rotate it as it shows up correctly on my computer....

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Here are photos of the different boards on the Plasma TV. I took the main photo from the thread I linked before as my TV is the same. All other photos are the boards located on my TV. Sorry that I did not put them in my original post, I do not know how to edit my posts and I did not think to put any photos in until I read the pinned post at the top.
Thank you...

Re: Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello Reecy, my TV is doing the exact symptom as the TV in this thread was doing when the main board was replaced with a new one. This makes me believe that the main board is broken. Is there anyway to confirm that this is the case? The thread I am talking about is https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=27535.

Samsung PN50A530S2f Power Cycling
Hello my TV is power cycling when plugged in and I was hoping to some help troubleshooting it. The screen does not turn on, but the white light under the power button does come on every three relay clicks. There is no lights on on the logic board either. If anyone has anything that they can suggest I do to fix my TV I would appreciate it. Thank you
