Hello, I would like to report an issue I have with a Samsung UE32F5000.
When I received the TV it had no picture. Shining a flashlight on the panel I saw a message on the screen indicating TV was alive but it had no backlight. The power supply was measuring OK so I disassembled the TV and found out two leds were burned on a led strip.
Since the particular led strip was in bad shape (it had a nasty burn mark near the power connector) I ordered a new strip from ebay and installed it. Now, on this particular set, if you disconnect the motherboard power cable and give power...Last edited by solidhit; 02-21-2017, 08:00 AM.

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hello, my name is George and I am from Greece. I work as a computer programmer but I recently started repairing televisions and phones as a means to increase my income. I have worked in a tv and hi-fi repair shop during the 90's. Now, trying to adapt to the new standards. Badcaps is a great source of knowledge and I hope to be able to both help and be helped in the future.
