RCA remote control not working
I was given an RCA RLDED5098 , a couple of LED`s had failed.I replaced them and the set works fine. However--i wasnt given the remote control for it---i have tried ten different RCA remotes and two new universal remotes with no luck.
How can i know for sure it is the IR receiver that isnt working?

Re: pn51d550c1fxzc no 5V stb
Yes i tried it connected to the tv and then separately with just the powerboard on the bench. there is never a change on the stby pin.

Re: pn51d550c1fxzc no 5V stb
QB810 supplies the 5V to the STBY pin.
I am not very good with the terms but if i understand this --
so the QB810 isnt receiving the voltage signal at the --gate ?
to allow the 5V to go to the drain ? which feeds the standby pin.
so i need to find out where the QB810 is supposed to get it`s signal from?

Re: pn51d550c1fxzc no 5V stb
When i plug the tv in there is no change in the STBY pin at all.
QB810 5.3 V at the top but nothing at either of the bottom legs
ICQ802 has 5.3 V at pin 1 but nowhere else
I have another board--BN44-00330A that uses the same mosfet--in position QB810 as well. this one has 5.24 at the top , 5.25 on one leg and 9.86 at the other. The IC on this board is different.
any ideas on what to test next ? i checked all the solder points for cracks or poor connections and did not see anything .

Re: pn51d550c1fxzc no 5V stb
samsung model is pn51d550c1fxzc
cn801 at
pin 1 = 2.944
pin 2 =.004
no change in anything when trying to power up.
not sure if it matters but the only other place there is voltage is at
J821 pin 5 = 2.944...

pn51d550c1fxzc no 5V stb
this tv had no standby light on in front--took off the back and there was no stb voltage , but there is pson voltage.
i went online to see what i could find and an hour later when i returned the tv was on and working perfectly. i could turn it off and back on with no issues.
today i`m back to no stb voltage.
there is 5 volts at the transistors on the back of the board but no voltage to the other two legs.there is also 5 volts in at the input pin of the IC at the back of the board----now i`m stuck....

Pn59d630 no power
This tv was dead when i got it. the power supply had blown fuses and a few blown transistors.I bought a power supply repair kit from SHOPJIMMY that included the transistors that were blown--plus a few others. I replaced everything that came in the kit.
Now when i plug it in it clicks for a second the red standby light comes on and goes off for a few seconds and repeats.I have 72V at the three caps.
at the CN801 is the only place i have power
pson-4.27 and drops to .082
stb 5.29
there is no power going to anything else--no VS,VA
if i disconnect the buffers...

Sharp lc-60eq10u black spot on screen
Has anyone seen this before ?
the picture itself has issues but before i go throwing time and parts into it if the panel itself is bad it`s pointless....

Re: Ns50d40sna14--suspect faulty panel
the backlights are working fine , you can see the whole screen lightly glow.if i unplug the t-con while the set is on there isn't any sign of lines, flickering or anything noticeable on the screen. the audio is fine the different hdmi ports are working.

Ns50d40sna14--suspect faulty panel
Everything is working except for the picture. I have tested for power at the t-con and there is 12v on both sides of the fuse. I have tested the first pin of the ribbon cable going to the panel and there is 12v there as well.
I have doing a lot of reading on here but i need to make sure this is definitely a bad panel. I have three sets doing the exact thing and i have only been repairing these for a short time.
any help would be appreciated....
