Re: eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
The problem is that, if you mean PR4404, I checked it with tester, and it's ok, but maybe the schematic it's a bit different from my board, cause on pin 1 and 2 of pr4404 there is no continuity with pin 1 and 2 of BQ24727.
So I checked the resistor in photo on green line close to BQ24727, without id on board, and I' ve reported the continuity to understand the circuit in photo attached...

Re: eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
Ok no problem. Tell me what you need, and I'll do it, and thanks for your help.
without battery connected:
pin 1 BQ24727 19v
pin 2 BQ24727 5.82v

Re: eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
Thanks for tour reply.
No, they aren’t as you can see.
On pin 1 19 volt, and on pin 2 battery voltage.
But I’m not realizing what’s the problem

Re: eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
I don't have PG4402 on board and no boardview.
I attached a rar with datasheet and schematic (even if it's a bit different form my board, but almost equal), and also a video of behaviour.
You can see the right 16v (needed to charge the 14v battery pack) for 1 second and after, there is stable only battery pack voltage (14v), like something cut the 16v needed to charge battery.
Connector all pins are ok.
2 battery tested, some behaviour.
SIO and data lines should be ok, cause if I charger externally the...

Re: eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
It's also strange that IOUT is 0 volt, but since I have led and laptop knows battery is connected the SIO is working.
Can someone help me? Or has someone the right value of the resistor to checj them? Thank you

Re: eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
100% sure of those voltages.
The only strange thing related to the schematic is that if I try to follow the schematic, pin 4 of pu4404 is connected with pin18 of pu4403. Actually on the board it's not like that.
In the photo attached there are the readings voltages on pc4413....

I attached a second pic with voltages checked again and indication on pin 11 that was missing....

yes, all voltages measured with battery + ac adapter

eg50-kb mb 12253-3m not charging battery
Acer aspire e1 522 with eg50-kb mb 12253-3m board.
Laptop works fine without battery (14,4v battery AL12A32, tested several batteries).
With battery inserted:
- I got orange light
- battery % doesn't increase
- BT+ on connector with battery is 12.60v (too low to charge battery), without battery BT+ is about 5v
I attached a capture of the schematic with all the voltages measured (in light blue) on charger ic.
What could be the problem?
Thank you...Last edited by brumbrum; 03-10-2021, 03:35 AM.

Re: Help 820-3437-B NO power on
All SPI are good. I'm starting to think that the problem is the cpu/gpuLast edited by brumbrum; 11-20-2020, 04:31 AM.

could I get S0 and Vcore if any spi were missing?

I changed also bios from donar board.. but still nothing

Re: Help 820-3437-B NO power on
Yes of course, from a same number model board that I bought appositely.
Thanks for the tip, But if I keep pressing power button and connect magsafe (with or without battery it's the same) I got only orange light and fan is not spinning. When I release the power button, Green light for 1 second and after orange, but fan is spinning and same behaviour like described in first post

yes, from the same donar board of smc, same part number and same brand

I soldered a new one, now full ram, but same identical behaviour

Are you 100% sure? Avtually I don't have any beep.
So should I replace all 4 ram chips?

Help 820-3437-B NO power on
I have a 820-3437-B macbook Air, and I need your help cause it's a really weird case.
At the benginning, it was dead, so here what I did:
- Replaced SMC from an identical donar board
- Removed one dead Ram chip that become really hot and was shorted, so now there are only 6gb on board and nomore 8gb
I thought it was ok after these fix, but now the behaviour is really strange:
With dc magsafe plugged only on board disassembled from macbook:[LIST][*] All voltages look good, I get even VCORE, about 1.7volt[*] I get 1 second green light,...

Re: 820-3437-B no light and fan spinning fast
I already replaced the smc cause under microscope I noticed that there was a little "ball" (like blow up) on the chip, even if under the chip everything was ok.
I didn't have a similar donar board to take it from, so I bought a new one with similar number:
the new one:
LM4FS1BH 5BBCIG 48A491W
the old one:
LM4FS1BH 5BBCIG 33A6GSW
But the issue is the same.

Re: 820-3437-B no light and fan spinning fast
ok I'm sorry. I'm trying now to explain better now after Smc replacing.
No power with battery connected, no sign of life. No chiming or any sound, no image and no backlight.
If I plug magsafe, I get green led and fan spinning for 2 seconds, after that fan stop and led became orange. With orange led, fan keep spinning stuck at the same speed, and only cpu is hot, and of course no chiming or any sound, no image and no backlight.
With a USB drive plugged in, activity LED not blinking.
The behaviour of the board...
