I am trying to troubleshoot a power issue on this board. I did find a burned 0R resistor. I removed the burnt jumper resistor and replaced with a solder ball. Symptoms are CPU and GPU get hot with power off and adapter in.

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
Mains were blown. I also found a bad diode.

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
More problems found:
B - 34V
C - 10V
E - 61V
I unplugged CW155 & CW068
B - 100mV
C - -3.88V
E - 475mV
More checking shows both transistors (TR630 TR631) on the 5V supply are shorted and I have a blown audio output. IC301 is also fried. My guess is the blown output is the cause. I am not sure that I can find a replacement for the outputs. IC301 might also be impossible to source. I am not sure if I trust eBay parts but that may be my only option. I have the service manual but it is too large...Last edited by ngen33r; 08-29-2018, 08:32 PM.

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
C507 was blistered and leaking, could be an un-related problem. I checked the voltage rails and everything seems to be good there.
I will test the things you listed tomorrow.

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
Any ideas on this one because these look like the muting circuits they shouldn't have excessive current flowing through them.

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
I recapped that section of the board and replaced the PNP with
The transistor blew again when powered on so another problem exists.

Re: ASUS UX32VD No Video
Thank You for this. This led me to find a short in the display cable. I will need to replace that first and test as I get no post video through the HDMI....

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
They recommended these:
https://www.digikey.com/product-detail/en/diodes-incorporated/ZTX795A/ZTX795A-ND/92573
Parts ordered let's see what happens. I am replacing all of the caps in that section as one of them ruptured, which most likely killed the transistor with noise the other parts seem to test ok.Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO<br /> <br...ered let's see

Re: Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
I cannot find an exact match at digikey or mouser.
I can go 1/2 the rated voltage
or
Higher voltage and less gain
Or I can try my chances on eBay transistors which are probably fake.

Denon 4308CI NO AUDIO
I picked up a Denon 4308CI cheap and the unit powers on fine but I have no audio output. I tore the unit down and found on the audio unit board a bad cap and a blown transistor. C507 100uF 50V and TR501 KTA1268. The KTA1268 is not available so I need to find something equivalent.

This one is close but not exact.
Any recomendations?https://I picked up a Denon 4308CI c...d on the audio...Last edited by ngen33r; 08-12-2018, 09:28 PM.

Re: ASUS UX32VD No Video
I tested both bios files and still no post. I tested more and I find that the board has 2 shorts to GND
P_VCORE_VIN_S - TEST OK
P_VCORE_LX_30 - SHORT (MAYBE PQ8002 PQ8003)
P_GFX_VIN_S - TEST OK
P_GFX_LX_30 - SHORT (MAYBE PQ8005 PQ8006)
Both also connect to PU8000
PU8000 should be checked first.

ASUS UX32VD No Video
I have another UX32VD that I am working on. This board powers on but I get no video with the LCD or HDMI. Any ideas where to start looking? I know it could be the CPU or GPU but how would I confirm that with them being soldered on.

Re: UX32VD 2.1 No Power *Have BoardView*
I am going to use this space to document what I have and have not checked. I am currently using 3V current limited to 200mA and using alcohol evap to identify the bad part. I may need to bump up the current but for now I will start low.
Well after testing I found that U2001 is the problem. I do not have BGA equipment so I think this duck is dead.
Part alone is $56

Re: Last ditch effort to Apple GPU problem for old Macbook Pro...
There is a guy on eBay that does does excellent reball work for $75. macbooklaptoprepair is his userid i think. He has done a few for me and all are still working with leaded balls. Might not be worth the price but if you need a permanent fix and aren't in a rush might we worth looking into.
