  • Re: LTV32 w1 westinghouse tv

I'm baaaaak!!!! Since my last C310 problem in May of 2010, I've had no 'cutting off' problems with my TV BUT.....it started up again recently. Took it apart today and found the OTHER pin of C310 cracked. This time, I scratched away more of the trace coating and resoldered having more surface contact to hold it in - did the same with the pin that I repaired back in 2010. Let'em try to loosen up NOW!!!!!!...

Not a supply question but here goes: I have replaced the TEC1-12706's in several of these wine coolers due to failure. All were "sealed" with white RTV silicone sealent around the edges. I'm a curious sort and have disassembled them all to find that in EVERY case, there has been a green colored corrosive inside which, I'm sure, led to the premature failure. Also, the sparse amount of heat sink compound used (on both plates) is appalling - it invariably dries up and adds to the problem. If moisture is going to permeate the module regardless of the...

Thanks for the try, Sean. My WX menus do not include a setting for turning the indicator(s) on or off - that would've been the simple way around this.
Somewhere out there, there must be a schematic floating around; it's almost like trying to scare up a unicorn - you've heard that they exist(?), but no one's ever actually SEEN one..............

That would be great but I must warn you......the WX tech support guys had me go through the drop-down menu for the settings and there is no on/off setting. If there's another way, I'd be glad to give it a try and, thanks in advance !!!!

WX go-to guy called me back - engineering couldn't help me because of the "reverse engineering for the blue power-on LED." Sounds like a bunch of hooey to me.
Would someone with a functioning power-on LED trace the source of the power to it, maybe post a photo of the board? I just can't believe that there's not something very simple that would help me to enable functioning of my LED.................
A source for schematics would be REALLY helpful !!!!!!!!!

I've taken care of my problem(s) - the picture cutting off was indeed the cold solder joint at C301; the sound "blipping" off is a fault in the comcast cable box.
I contacted WX Digital and have been promised communications with one of their engineering staff. When I get an answer, I'll message back.......

Thanks to all for your previous posts. I am having trouble with my sound "blipping" off at approximate 20 to 30 minute intervals and lately, the sound/picture going out completely. Unplugging and replugging the power cord would reset it. I, too, took a hard look at the Delta board and found a cold (cracked) solder joint at C310 [photo attached] as referenced by 12ax7a on 4/20; everything else looked tight. Just finished the resolder and will test tonight.
In the meantime, I've had another minor problem ever since the unit was new - the...
