I just wanted to say thank you to everybody that offered help. I checked out the service manual and sure enough the instructions for resetting the system were in there. It's fixed! ! I've got another issue now though. While the receiver was out of commission the two negative terminals for the main front speakers were snapped off. These are the screw in type that will also work with banana plugs. They threaded posts were sheared off. I'm gonna try to tackle that tomorrow.. Once again, thank you for your help.

Yes, I can read a schematic. I thought that most components on the board couldn't be tested unless removed from the circuit. I have looked online but unfortunately the owners manual doesn't get into circuitry, only basic operation instructions. I couldn't even find a tech manual anywhere. I'm probably not looking in the right spot.

Back to the drawing board. Thanks for your help.

I want to take the receiver to the power company and have them fix the thing but you know that ain't gonna happen.

Ohm'ed out the windings on the large transformer. There were no open or grounded windings. As far as the clicking from the relay when you hit the power button, there is no clicking. There is nothing. No display, noise, smell, but there is voltage present. Here's my readings.....

Ohms starting with the two pin connector next to the mains on the small board. 2.4 ohms. That's with all the wires unplugged from the transformer (the big transformer).
The next plug is the one coming off the transformer that the two pin plug is located. I'm going...

I'm not by any means an expert but I would guess that the board with the caps in a row on top would be the pre amp. I am probably wrong but like I said, I'm guessing. One thing I did notice when observing the boards for defective components (visually, haven't taken measurements yet) is that there is a note on the board with the caps in a row that says "when replacing the fusible resistor, replace with the same type and size". I know a little bit about electronics and know what a resistor looks like and the two resistors they are referring to look like...

I do have a meter. I don't have an ESR cap meter. I'll post pictures of the power section in a minute. Thanks for your help.

    Yamaha RX-V375

Recently the power went out at my house. Well I thought it went out, but I noticed some weird behavior from a few electronic devices I own. My radio was off but buzzing. I quickly grabbed my multimeter to check the power at the outlet to discover only 20v a/c. Just as I discovered this my girlfriend tells me that the surround sound receiver was clicking, trying to come on. She unplugged the receiver and TV. After the power was restored the radio would turn on but still had a buzzing sound coming out of the speakers and the receiver would not turn on. Apparently the receiver has a protection built...

I will check for a proper ground. If that doesn't do the trick I'll be ordering a new lvds cable. Thanks for the quick response.

I've got a neighbor's tv here at my house that had a jog wheel/power button that wasn't working. Opened it up to find the ribbon cable hanging on by a thread. There were only two wires still intact. I removed the cable and repaired it but unfortunately the cable is shorter now. It works but the cable needs to be longer. Well i tested it before returning the tv to the neighbor and all was good. The tv turned on but i noticed the picture had a greenish tint to it. She sent me a picture and would like to get some suggestions as to the cause. Thanks in advance...

Yeah, that is how I feel too. If the screen wouldn't have broke I wouldn't want to return them, obviously. I wouldn't even make a big stink if they said no because I already installed them. I'm just trying to be completely honest with the people but I think they are stalling so time passes. I'm not trying to screw anybody out of anything. As a matter of fact, when I went to pick up the package at my mailbox (mailbox etc.) I noticed they shipped the LEDs in a round tube with caps on the ends. There was only one cap though, the other was missing. The LEDs...

Ok, I feel like a real douche. I apologize Marino, you were just trying to help me out and I appreciate that. I want to give an update to my repair.
Ok, I located a full set of LEDs on Ebay. They came from a different model Samsung tv but the numbers on the LED strips themselves matched do I gambled and it was compatible, awesome, right....yes and no. I had them installed and I tested to make sure they worked and they did. I was so relieved that I finally could get this thing put back together and off the floor in our spare bedroom/wife's closet....

  • Re: Samsung UN60FH6003FXZA 410vdc going to LEDs

    Update:
Found a full set of leds on ebay. They belonged to a different tv but had the same numbers on the leds themselves. Picture indicates this. I got them to light up no problem but upon reassembly of the tv I heard a slight "tick" and I knew exactly what it was. The screen cracked! ! It wasn't visible until I powered it up though. Lots of time and effort invested in this tv researching, trying to find parts and reading. Boy was I disappointed.

In the pictures below you'll find the numbers I was...

Well, I haven't got it back together yet but what I did to dismantle it was I took an object that was the exact size of the screen and laid it face down on that object. It happens to be a yoga mat that's about a foot thick when folded. This is providing support for the screen. The problem I'm having is that I took the tv apart on the ground in a bedroom at my house and there are huge pieces laying everywhere. The room happens to be my wife's closet basically so she isn't too happy with me. What gives?

The hunt for replacement leds continues........
    I've found some replacement strips with the part numbers;
D3GE-600SMB-R1, D3GE-600SMA-R2 these numbers are found on my led strips too. One is for the left and one is for the right side. Would it be safe to say that these are gonna work even though it lists a different model number tv in the description. The model is a UN60FH6200F and mine is a 6003F?

  • Re: Samsung UN60FH6003FXZA

I can't believe it! I went to order the leds from the site I found and when I clicked "buy" the page refreshed and said "page not found". This is insane. I guess I'm going to have to purchase the leds in individual strips. The saga continues......

Well, I could but because I've spent two days searching the net for these bad boys and they only have one kit left I think I'll hold off on sharing the link.

Where I'm having trouble though is with all these part numbers. My panel part number matches exactly and the numbers on the led strip match but other numbers don't match...

One last thing, I've found a full set of leds online and they list in the description that these replacement leds will work on a tv with the same panel number as my tv and has the same part number but they came out of a different model tv. I remember watching a video from shop jimmy where they said that leds are panel specific. Does this mean that if the panel numbers and part numbers match I'm good to go?
