  • XBOX One S caps value and replacement

    Hi -
I saw there was another post similar to this, but I do not believe he was referring to the same caps I am seeking.
These caps are in the “B” section of the board and the board is marked C9C11, C9C4, C988. The caps appear to be aluminum sheathed and are marked “FP 95 CD 271 16” The Digikey tech's best guess was Nichicon 16v 271 uf but I don't want a guess and solder in the wrong cap. Do any of you know exactly the value of these caps and a good replacement for them?...

I ordered a mainboard and switched it out, as I said in Post 7 which resulted in the same effect, thus I switched it back. And I do not know what the tape method is.

I reread your instructions from post #8 and understood them better this time. Now I have the main (my original) reconnected to the power board. I disconnected a cable that runs into the driver board I was calling this a T-Con which is why I was confused. The system is still power cycling rapidly. Thank you.

OK - That was good advice, but I am not sure what to make of it. I have one connecting cable from the power board to the main board. I pulled the cable out of the main board (it is new) and plugged the TV back in. All the backlights came up and stayed on. After about 2 hours I unplugged the TV. So, where do I go from here? Is it the cable?

Actually, I did, last Friday. There were no panel errors, there were several old events referencing CEC command image view turned on. The TV had still been working fine at that point. Since then I have replaced the main and now it is turning on and off much much faster. I can send this board back if I have too of course. I am inclined to think this may be a power issue, though I do not understand why the older board would stay up for as long as a hour and a half and the new main begins setup and starts cycling immediately.

Yes, I understand that. To update what I have tried so far for those following this post.
    Disabled the mobile power on
    Disable the Anynet
    Ran the Virus check
    Ran the system check
    Disabled the auto power off
    Disable Smart things
    Disable Sleep timer
    Checked for a software update
Longest uptime I have had was1 hour and 40 minutes then blinked out (was playing a Netflix) it kicked right back up almost immediately. I cannot decide if this is a power issue or a possible overheat. It kind looked like...

I have it opened up now,and there is nothing visible showing that I can see at all. I don't have much experience in tracing bad components unfortunately. If it had been showing bad capacitors or a something simple I could have easily resolved it.

  • Samsung qn55q60raf powercycle

    Hello again -

I have the above named TV and it is doing a chronic power cycle. (30 minutes on, then off, right back up again) From what I read this has been a issue with these models. I have seen several solutions that incude unplugging a connecting wire from the power board to the mainboard, to replacing the powerboard. I have not even opened it up yet because this one is less than obvious on how to open it up compared to all other TV's I have dissected. At this point I am looking for input from anyone who has experienced this problem with the same unit and their resolution before...

Problem resolved. After posting the pictures storyteller asked for, I enlarged them and saw the ribbon cables were not properly seated. SMH. I apologize for wasting anyone's time

I am a computer tech with 20 years experience...I do own a multimeter but would not even begin know how to perform that check. Not something we really ever have to do in my trade....

  • LG 55UM6910PUC black screen

    Hi-
Here is my story on the this tv. It was supposedly a lightning strike 55" they were just going to ditch because it was electrocuted. It was in such great shape I took it in for my own. I bought the repair kit for it from Shop Jimmy which included the power board, the mainboard and the wifi board. I am trying to determine if there is a additional problem or if Shop Jimmy sent me 1 bad board. So back to the story. When I got the TV, completely dead. Changed the power board no difference. Changed out the mainboard, all the LED's came up immediately and the TV started talking. "Press...

  • Re: lg 32lk450 black screen

Thank you all for the quick responses. Here are the pictures. The only board I am unfamiliar with is the black board to the left. I measured the voltages only that were printed on the power board that feed the main and they were on the dot.

    Thank you so much...

I am very unfamiliar with the inside of this one as it has a different type of board in it. To make a long story short, No display at all, I checked my voltages from the power board to the main, all are correct according to what is printed on the board, ran the flashlight test and I see no type of image. I have a red standby power light that switches up to a regular power light and holds steady after pressing it to turn it on. That's where I am at and what I know how to do with this one.
Suggestions or experiences with this model?

    Thank you

  • Re: M43-C1 1 long blink 16 short

To put closure to this thread. The main board was repaired and that was the initial problem. When I had it returned to me I did not seat it properly (as stated above) which is why it would not come up. I pulled it from both the inverter and the main, reseated and voila all was well.

    Update:

I sent this main board out for repair. The TV now will now power up the backlights with the power button every time but no display (Visio icon or image on boot) and I still get a blinking power light....

I'm still interest to know why when I touched my fluke on the pin on the main I have in the picture below I lit up every LED and how that rules out the driver board.

  • M43-C1 1 long blink 16 short

    Hi all -
I have been playing around with TV repair for a while now but computer repair is my 20 year thing. Regardless. Voltage measurements and things relative to that I am just starting to learn, very rookie. My victim is the M43-C1 as shown above with it's blink code. Original complaint was only half screen so I want with a roll of the dice and bought a control board, no dice. Today I was experimenting with checking voltages and trying to educate myself slowly. I had given up on the power board as I thought I had understood the voltages and the checked out. So I watched a video and tried...
