Re: Samsung UN55D6050TFXZA
After taking apart the tv, I found this:
And after reading this thread https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showthread.php?t=34566& , I removed the bad LEDs. In that thread there is some confusion about replacing the LEDs but someone says you can just jumper them if there aren't a lot. I want to make sure I do this correctly, so would i just solder two wires to connect remaining LEDs and bridge the gap? Is there anything I should be aware of? Re: Samsung UN55D6050TFXZA<br />

Thanks for your help, it sounds like the LEDs are the issue. I'll check it out later and report back.

Re: Samsung UN55D6050TFXZA
With everything plugged in, the voltages would jump when the screen flashed, so i unplugged the power board from the main. With the backlight constantly on, I was able to see that Ps-on read 5.361. Before I could check the Blu_on, the backlight started flashing. It was a faster pace than the flashing with main plugged in though.

Re: Samsung UN55D6050TFXZA
I apologize if this sounds stupid because I'm not entirely sure what I'm doing, but I don't know if I can get two readings because when I plug the tv in, the issue with the standby light blinking starts and I cannot press any buttons or change anything. Should I have all of the boards connected when I get the readings?

Is that something I could check? Or would a better picture allow you to check?...

Samsung UN55D6050TFXZA
Hi!
Current Symptoms: When plugged in, the backlight is off, the standby light blinks 2x5, then the screen flashes (When captured on video, the light seems to be coming from the top left corner of the screen). This cycle happens as soon as the unit is plugged in and repeats endlessly.
What I have done so far: When I first got the unit, it did the same thing but I could hear a clicking noise during the cycle. I visually inspected everything and couldn't find any issues that were clear to me. I traced the noise to the power board, so I ordered a new one. The tv standby...

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hi,
I found this site a few years ago when I needed to fix a friend's tv. I have a new broken tv that I can't seem to figure out so now I'm signing up to receive some of the generous help that the people here provide.
Thanks!
