Re: iPad Air A1474 keeps restarting after a couple of minutes.
Just to provide some resolution:
I eventually got frustrated with this board and decided to reassemble the iPad and set it to the side. After it was reassembled, it started working normally. I guess in its half dismantled state, it wasn't reading the battery properly, even though it could still power on and function in some manner.
So, in conclusion, the iPad is working. Why it's working is a matter that eludes me. Thank you everyone for your input.

Re: Testing and replacing soldered RAM.
I had a feeling it might not be necessarily RAM related. I have another MBA 2009 Board that works, but fails MemTest. This is could be a reflow job, then?

Testing and replacing soldered RAM.
Hello again everyone.
I am curious if anyone has tried to replace soldered RAM before, such as the RAM on a Macbook Air.
I have a 2009 Macbook Air logic board that is currently bricked because of bad RAM (i.e. constant stream of 3 beeps on boot). I've considered the brute force method of replacing all the RAM modules, but from what little reading I've done I understand that you're more and more likely to break the board after each heating cycle. So this leads me to my next question: Is there a way to interface with the logic board to determine which ram modules are...

Re: iPad Air A1474 keeps restarting after a couple of minutes.
I did an iTunes restore on it with no luck. I updated to 9.3.5 (prev 9.3.4) to no avail.
I have it taken apart. I have a donor iPad here that is also taken apart. I tried plugging the logic board into the battery of the donor iPad, but it still crashes after a couple minutes of use.
The iPad doesn't really charge and crashes while both connected to the charger and while running on its own.
I'm keeping the iPad on in sleep mode right now to see if it will randomly reset while in...

iPad Air A1474 keeps restarting after a couple of minutes.
Hey everyone.
I've picked up an iPad air that keeps restarting itself after a couple of minutes; the screen turns blue for a brief second before showing the apple logo and doing the boot process.
I've reset the settings and have done a factory reset with no luck. Is this a hardware issue?

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Hey everyone!
Found this forum a couple weeks back while diagnosing a broken Apple laptop, so I thought I would join!
I've been fascinated with electronics since I was a teen, but I've been getting more serious with this as a hobby over the past year or so.
