yeah loose cable is what i was expecting to have to look for today. This is the first tv ive tried to fix but ive dealt with quite a few laptop screens and its not much different. can the connector seat itself somehow? i noticed the connectors had no tape holding them in, which laptop connectors always do....

registered to say thanks for the info, my toshiba backlight died and it was the connector between the 2 bottom led strips! Weird thing though - when i reassembled it, the backlight came on but no image, nothing. Left it overnight as I couldnt be arsed to open it up again, and next day its fine! whats that all about? Some error state that the logic board went into when the led power failed, didnt clear, but did after a certain time??
