Re: Mackie CR4 monitors

Just two new pictures if can help someone other with the rear side

D1 => Added a second diode for reduce a little heat because already view one D1 diode burned
C80,C81,C74,C37,C38,C39 => these capacitors have high ESR so replace all just for be safe

Sorry, I didn't take pictures afterwards but I had to make a hole in the radiator to put a screw and then add thermal paste to make contact with LM and the radiator.

The temperature has gone down and no more problems since ...

Thank you UserXP

Same HP and same problem but not opened for the moment probably burned too.. never understand manufacturer to put noname cap and design bad pcb we should use 24/24h 7/7d just for return under warranty each time

Are you happy about the result ? No more heat ?

What about Z2 (?) the diode you removed here https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpost.php?p=904052&postcount=17

• Re: Solar panel - circuit for recharge battery during the night

Thank you keeney !
You have great ideas

I think to use two relays for connect the power supply to AC.
One connected to a light detector for security and the second connected to the load of the controller.
Load is cutted off when the batteries are lower than 2x.0V so I can connect the power supply to AC and put the power to the solar panel input directly like that a charger controller isn't needed. I have already one diode on the positive wire and one in the other side on the negative...

Hello,

I have already a controller for charge the batteries but these devices doesn't support external power.

But thank you

• Solar panel - circuit for recharge battery during the night

Hello,

I have a problem with my solar panel during winter.
The sun is hidden during almost all the day and it's not enough for recharge completely my batteries about 2 months per year. I recharge manually the batteries during evening but it's not very practical.

I search a way for recharge the batteries with a power supply only during the night (no power coming from solar panel) for not have two power sources in the same time and only when the battery level is low. The must is a relay who can cut the power going to the power supply when it's not necessary....

DVB Tuner

Hello,

I have a question about a DVB-C tuner who suddenly stop receive channels.
Working very well but now I can't found any channels when I scan all frequencies.
It's not a problem with signal or cable because an another tuner work perfectly.

Do you know what components I should check and if it's repairable ?
I found really few documentations about that issue and all people change the tuner without try to repair

Philips SAA7146
Demodulator : TDA10023
Tuner : CU1216L

Thank you for your he...

• Re: Problem with DM7025 Power Supply

It's probably not resistor because are in //

I have change another capacitor without any change
Nobody can help me ? And try to give me a solution for check the power supply ?

How it's possible to measure this power supply ?
Some parts are AC and other DC and change the result

I have +230V on one side and -104V on the other side ... The radiator is at -104V and the other 0. I really doesn't understand how this result can be right.

And I have -104V on the majority of the...

• Re: Problem with DM7025 Power Supply

It's possible thats the problem can come from somes resistors ?

I have found a lot of errors from the colour code or smd number...
0.6Mohm instead of 1Mohm, 270kohm instead of 470kohm...

I have found one other with 1.2ohm and from colour code should be 15ohm ..
But when a resistor burn, should be have an unlimited ohm value and not decrease his resistance no ?

• Re: Problem with DM7025 Power Supply

The first problem : LCD backlight start but with nothing on it and have some volts on the molex cable. may be 1V on 5V and 3V on 12V.

After my shortcut, LCD doesn't start anymore and I have no power on molex 0.01V (probably the multimeter which it's not really accurate)

And I doesn't found a way for start manually the power supply without plug to the Dreambox and doesn't know if start or not... No way for check

Not ... I have found something like that for...

OK

It's for not overload forum DB
Yes I know that picture doesn't stay a lot of time.

But no problem, I can upload on the forum DB directly.

Yes but buy another is too much expensive
It's probably a little thing which have burn but don't know what ... And if it's the power supply or the mainboard...
I try to look the mainboard today if I see something which have burn.

But I don't think because I have the metal part in the hand when the power supply...

Hello,

Sorry for this thread but I don't have founded any informations on all other thread concerning these type of monitors

My first problem was the monitor shutdown after some minutes. Repaired by resolder all transformers/transistors/fuse.

But now I have always a noise when I turn ON this monitor and stop after 1-2sec when backlight is ON and have a permanent little noise like a bzzzz.
Someone can help me to solve this problem or it's normal on these monitors ?
