Re: Intel D975XBX Cap Mod Questions
Just an FYI, most Intel motherboards have a 3 year warranty. If you just got this board, you will void the warranty. I'm still wondering why you might want to alter this board, especially if you're not seeing any problems.

ASUS P5P800 with bad caps
My board will be RMA'd for the second time very soon. The first time it went back it had about 8 swelled caps. Sorry I can't remember the brand. I received a recapped replacement board, but they did not recap the entire board, just the bad caps. I now have a board with Rubycons (the replacement caps) with a mix of Ltec (currently bad and swelling), and Ost and GSC caps (not swelling, but suspect). This is the first ASUS board I've ever had issues with. I'm considering not sending it back to them and recapping it myself. I don't solder very much though and I'm concerned I just may kill the board...

Ltec Caps
I have a few bad Ltec caps on my board. I did not see them listed in the bad or good cap section. I will be replacing them in any case. Anyone have any experiance with these?
