Re: Samsung LN32B360C5DXZA No display?
ok after reading through the troubleshooting guide I came to the conclusion that its not getting signal to the panel itself. and I found it! I am having trouble uploading the picture to this site but on the bottom of the lcd panel there is a small skinny board with a ribbon cable from the tcon and then two tiny ribbon cables soldered? to the board that feed directly into the lcd panel. the ribbon cable from the tcon to this board was all corroded and small piece burnt? I am going to tempt in cleaning up the grooves but the ribbon cable looks...

Samsung LN32B360C5DXZA No display?
I recently acquired this tv and it doesnt post a display. It has sound and volume and channel controls all work just doesnt display. The backlight is on and does flicker while changing channels and source but its just a dim white blank screen. Inside are three boards a power supply/inverter board, a main board BN41-01181A printed on board then on sticker is BN96-11410A with all the inputs rca/ hdmi/ vga/ also on this board goes to the speakers. then through a ribbon cable the final board is a 320ap03c2lv0.1 LCD controller tcon board. I can take pictures of any board needed just need some advice...

Re: emachines e19t6w inverter powersupply help
yea it was a PITA. you need to take all the screws out the back but to get the front off the black trim comes off just clips so pry it out sounds like snapping but it isnt. then you can take out the lcd and behind the lcd is all the stuff

Re: emachines e19t6w inverter powersupply help
Ive replaced all the caps with recycled ones and It did get a little better but It could also be from turning down the brightness. I turned the brightness down to 0 then after an hour i turned it to 20 then to 30 and then to 40 after abuot 5 hours i shut it off. Today i tried the same thing and it shut off after about a half hour at 30 minutes. Is there anything wrong with radio shack caps? Id like to do this locally since I dont have a credit card or anything. Is there any other stores that carry capacitors? Could it be somthing...

Re: emachines e19t6w inverter powersupply help
I have since replaced the 470uh 25v cap. with a 470uh 35v cap. and a 220uf 35v with another 220uf 35v one and have gotten some progress.
Now the backlight stays on for about a minute or 2 and then goes off. I have been finding these capacitors Ive been replacing
them without out of an old tv/vcr combo. They are only rated to 85* C not 105*c like the su'scon ones. Ive been looking to replace the
rest of the caps but I cannot find them yet. My local radio shack doesnt carry them so im going through another tv and...

Re: emachines e19t6w inverter powersupply help
If i was to replace the caps, which of them would or should I replace? I do notice on the larger of the purple ones
the 470 25v one would be the most swollen top out of any of them though it is not very much. The caps hold charge
to increase voltage to the transformers?? Ive seen some people but up the voltage from 470 25v to a 470 35v.
I really know nothing about capacitors but I would think it would be certain ones rather than the others ones.
There are 6 su'scon caps, 2 are on the power supply side...

Re: emachines e19t6w inverter powersupply help
The resistance from A to B is .613k ohms. The resistance from C to D is .618k ohms.
The resistance in the following A1 through A6 is as follows ; A1 2.934M , A2 2.942M , A3 2.945M ,
A4 2.951M , A5 2.955M , A6 2.961M. They all did climb slowly and when I went back to test
A1 it had risen to the same as A6 at 2.96*M

Re: emachines e19t6w inverter powersupply help
with my craftsmen 82456 meter only has ohms scale not different ohms but the decimal place moves and puts a letter after the number. I am testing this with the board unplugged and on a desk from red to red top two and bottom two i get .690k on the top two and then .651k on between the bottom two then i moved on in sets top two reds to top blues and bottom red to bottom blues i get 2.950m across the board or close for both sets and here is the only big picture i could find of the multimeter since my camera is dead now...Last edited by bagginsbill; 04-27-2010, 09:55 PM.
