I received my ESR-Micro V4 today.
I'm new to this type of device.
I was testing a unsoldered 470uf 35V radial cap using the probes, how do I know if the cap is good? I heard a bird chirp and the E reading was .12 and C reading was 452 and according to the manual the cap is good. So this 470uf 35v cap is good right?
What does a bad cap sound like or read when using the Micro v4.0 meter?
I need to measure a 2200uf 16V radial cap but it's not listed in the

are there any pictures or better descriptions of the different type of boards in regards to their function and how they work with one another?
power supply board* == contains the caps, resistors, transformers, the power cable plugs to it...anything else??

mainboard* == usually were the coax cable, audio, video, hdmi connections are

I need a cap tester that can check caps in parallel and still soldered to the power supply board.
Will this unit do that?
What are the experiences with the CapAnalyzer 88A good or bad?
Are there any other reliable cap testers brands that check caps in parallel while still soldered to the board? If so brand and model; where do I buy the tester for the best price?
I have an LCD TV that I think the power supply is at fault but none of the capacitors look bulged or leaking, the tester should tell me once and for all if they need replacem...
