SkyTribe, i actually solved my problem. i first changed the power supply but didn't fix the problem so i had tu buy the other 2 cards. unfortunately i had a technician come in that dropped a bare cable on the power supply and fried my tv so i had to change the main board also.

i found all the parts on ebay for around 200 dollars.

i should have bought a new TV for 100 more, but life is life.

any recommendation on what to do first?.....
should i change the caps of the power supply then try the other cards?

Finally. After several days it did it again. I checked for ghosts in the screen. nothing there, all blank. The screen appears to be off.

before it goes blank the screen starts to blink. it goes dark and bright then it goes off.

when i turn the tv on it does blink but after a few seconds it becomes stable.

Any ideas?

I have an Olevia 537 B11 that has 2 problems.

at first it started turning itself off by itself. i double checked if there was any kind of sleep timer but sadly found out on the internet that it was a common issue.

i am not sure wich is the part that i have to change for that. i took the power supply to a technician and he told me that it looker ok. ut i understand that the looks of things do not mean much. i figured that i was going to keep using the TV that way. sometimes i went for days and weeks working good then, the ghost in the machine came and turn it of in...
