Re: Sceptre X405BV-FHD3HF02205 no power
So I got the eeprom today.
I am a tech type person but soldering is not something I have done a lot of but I have basic skills and can do it.
Removing the old one from the board and cleaning up remnants of it went well but getting the new one soldered on was tough for me.
First of all the part is small and I could barely see it with my glasses on and a magnifying glass did not help much either.
After I soldered it back on as best I could I took a pic of it with my phone and zoomed in. It looked...

Yes and thanks. Shopjimmy informed me of same and I just finished doing that and found the one that matches the numbers on the sticker on the back of the board. It's this one if anyone cares. https://******/2xuCdQf.Re: Sceptre X405BV-FHD3HF02205 no po...2xuCdQf.Re: Sceptre...

Re: Sceptre X405BV-FHD3HF02205 no power
Thanks for that as well.
The P/N on my TV is X405BV-FHD3HA10001 and I don't see one for that exact P/N as they suggest should match on some of the eeproms for similar models. I sent them a message to see if they could help me out with the right one. Meanwhile I will pull the back off and see if there are any clues on the board that might help....

Re: Sceptre X405BV-FHD3HF02205 no power
I have repaired this TV once and posted in this thread a few years ago saying so. It now has the same symptoms as plbrand had on his and is still in the such a state that I can fiddle with the button and unplug/replug and get it to come on so I don't have it apart yet. plbrand replaced the eeprom which I am just going to try.
Would someone be so kind as to use one of the many pics of the board in this thread and point out where the eeprom is?
I can handle it from there.
Thanks!

Re: Sceptre X405BV-FHD3HF02205 no power
Hello, This is my first real post here other than the intro.
It looks like there have been 2 successful repairs to this model from this thread and I just wanted to let you know there are now 3.
I have one of these that just quit about 10 days ago. I googled around and came upon this thread. I followed what was posted on the 1st page and when I saw the results for diodes D10, 22, 23 and my D10 was reading 0v compared to the others I gambled and figured that was the culprit since my results were similar to the original posters....

Re: New Members - please post your introductions here
Just doing my initial post so I can start a new thread sometime next week. I have a T.V. I would like to try and fix but I have to get my ducks in a row first, namely getting a DMM. It will be here soon.
Until then. Thanks!
