Yes I was. Any of the boards that I purchase from Ebay I make sure the buyers accept returns, even if I have to pay for return shipping.


Has anyone successfully repaired an A board at the component level from here? I see there are services out there but I was just wondering if anyone on here has....

I wanted to give an update. The first A board I purchased from Ebay was DOA. Which of course you don't find out until its installed. The 2nd board was GTG!

The display does not illuminate. I did try to enter the service menu and no luck.

I will try to get another A Board and report back. Unless someone on here has any other suggestions?

Is it possible to have a bad D board?

I am working on a TH-50PZ80U (01/2009 build date).

I receive this in its current state. It is not mine. I was told after a bad thunder and lightening storm it would not display a picture but you could here the relays click. I was also told that there was a cable box plugged into it and that was also toast after the storm. I assume that lightening is the culprit.

When I plug it in I can hear the click of the relay. Then I can either push the power button on the remote or the TV and the red power light will come on and you can see a slight glow to the screen. When...
