  • Re: Sharp Aquos - Horizontal Line and flickering colors.

That was the most scary and RELIEVING thing I have done in a long time.

Decided to pull the tab drivers out since I am out of time before tomorrows surgery and it works 100% perfect screen! AMAZING fix. At least for now which mattered most to me.

Thank you to all you guys who provided knowledge to others here on badcaps....

I saw that thread earlier. It looks like it is the same problem honestly and hopefully the same fix will happen for me. XD

Question though. How do you go about removing the tab drivers. I keep reading about peeling them off and pull them towards the front of the screen. Are they fairly easy to pull off? I looked at them attached to the panel and they dont look like they are on there too much so is it more of a just pull/ripe them off with some care?

    Hey thanx for the reply.

I couldn't access a color test pattern. Maybe Im just not seeing it or unsure how to access it. I tried from the factory boot menu and there was an option saying color test pattern, but written beside it was (Not supported)

It was located in the same menu as this image. This is green based on testing one more time a hard reset.

I updated the first post with (viewed from the front) info ect to make it less confusing, but you were correct....

  • Sharp Aquos - Horizontal Line and flickering colors.

Hey there guys. So my Sharp LC-70LE650U went haywire the other day with what started at flicking colors and than a horizontal line coming from the right side of the screen.

I have been reading through this forum for the last few days trying to find a solution and determine the exact problem and from what I gather based on what others have experienced, it looks as if one of the tab drivers have shorted out and I may have to remove the one sides tab drivers. Seeing as this is an irreversible and last option for a TV I was wondering if any of you have any advise or feedback you can offer...

Hi there. I came by this site as I am researching my TV problem and it seems many good people are willing to help and I figured I would try my luck.
