  • Re: panasonic tx-55ax630b no backlight

    Eureka!
Working now with modified LED strips to match correct voltage/current and no resistors! Just a dead line of LEDs on the screen, only visible in certain moments (plain grey or white images).
Just need now to get proper LEDs ordered and the courage to replace them!

    Thanks!

    Cool, thanks for the info!
Yeah, I thought that the resistors in my strip would be an issue alright!

The current mentioned in post #15 is the current that he used for test, not the current that the TV expect from the LED strips, which is the number I'm looking for, and unfortunately I don't have an LED tester.

What model LED is used? This is my first time fixing a TV's backlight, so I'm a bit lost, not sure if this LED model is common across TVs and what model is it.

    Something...

  • Re: panasonic tx-55ax630b no backlight

    Hey guys
I have the same problem as Tony!
I just wanted to ask if there is any easy way I could "fool" the board into thinking that there is a good LED strip in place of the faulty one?
I disconnected the faulty on from the connector and tried using 2 small pieces of 24V strips in series, but that is probably not enough current.
Any idea what sort of current is the TV expecting?
Just wanted to prove that this is the only issue before ordering LEDs and striping the TV's back light which is a pain......

  • Re: Yamaha rx v373 - no power

Hi guys! For the ones who has the RX-V375, after suffering for hours, following circuits, tracks, cables, checking voltages, signals... I finally found out how to "fix" (it wasn't damaged, just locked) mine!! Just press and hold buttons TONE, INFO and POWER for 3 seconds (if it turns on in less than 3 seconds, don't release the buttons yet, hold them for 3s!), after that, turn the unit off on the Power button and turn it on again, it should work fine now (if nothing else is damaged inside). Good luck!
