Thanks for clearing that up for me.

My 8600 GT video card went out a few days ago. 3 FZ caps blew on it, two 1500 6.3V and a 1000 6.3V (I plan on replacing all 10 FZ caps). I have some soldering experience but I never replaced any electronics on anything computer related before.

In the recap tut overview it says you can use caps rated for voltage over the ones you are going to replace (16V for a 6.3V and such).

My question is; Is having higher voltage rating better?

I'm thinking that it would do better in the case of a power surge and perhaps give better electric flow. I really don't...
