Samsung UE40B6000VW TV - won't come back out of standby
My friend has an odd issue with her Samsung UE40B6000VW tv. It's started not coming out back on when she tries to take it out of standby mode.
I took the back off a week or so ago, couldn't see anything and just thought I'd turn it on to see what happened and to my surprise it worked. I put it back together and it's worked for a week.
Same thing has happened again though. Won't come out of standby, take the back off and it works again. (Actually, now I've re-read that maybe its the total loss of power that's making it work again rather than connected to taking the back...Last edited by dooosuk; 12-05-2016, 03:51 AM.

Re: sharp LC-32SH130K / Vestel 17PW82-2 v.1 090511
Is the panel the LG board: LC320WXN?
All the numbers on the main board match the board Vince listed and it was listed for the same model Sharp.
How do I match the panel to it?...Last edited by dooosuk; 10-13-2016, 01:33 AM.

Re: sharp LC-32SH130K / Vestel 17PW82-2 v.1 090511
Thanks for all the help.
Main board is a 17MB60-4.1
The 3 diodes in circuit read 473 on my multimeter.
On looking at the caps again I'm wondering if one is slightly dome'd.
Just trying to upload pics from mobile....Last edited by dooosuk; 10-12-2016, 02:19 PM.

Re: sharp LC-32SH130K / Vestel 17PW82-2 v.1 090511
OK, so I'm still alive.
The filter cap read 399v when plugged into the mains. I was surprised here that I needed the mains cable plugged in and the black power cable from the logic (?) board plugged in and switched on, but that's just my lack of understanding I guess.
The voltages below were all read when plugged into the mains and with the rocker power switch on the back of the TV 'on'. The TV will not switch in and out of standby so these are the only readings I could get.
PL802 - do the...Last edited by dooosuk; 10-12-2016, 02:11 AM.

Re: sharp LC-32SH130K / Vestel 17PW82-2 v.1 090511
OK, so just to double check everything:
With the mains power on:
1) Confirm voltage reading across main filter cap
(done via multimeter on DC 600v setting and a probe on each solder point of the cap)
2) Confirm voltage readings at pins of the connectors
(done via multimeter on DC setting with one probe grounded to chassis and the other on the pin)

Re: sharp LC-32SH130K / Vestel 17PW82-2 v.1 090511
Hi - have updated the original post so images are included now.
I'm new to all this but do have a multimeter. Are the Pins clearly labelled on the board?
I also can't change it in and out of standby. When turned on there's no indication the TV is on other than beeps from the controls on the edge of the screen (TV/AV, channel, volume etc).
The standby light does not illuminate.Last edited by dooosuk; 10-10-2016, 03:46 AM.

sharp LC-32SH130K / Vestel 17PW82-2 v.1 090511
So a friend has this TV which won't turn on and wondered if I could help as I managed to fix my Toshiba/vestel by replacing a resistor.
Anyway, her TV doesn't turn on, the LED doesn't light up but the controls on the edge of the screen (TV/AV, channel, volume etc) do beep when pressed.
I've had a quick scan of the forum but can't find much on this vestel board as to where I should start looking. None of the caps appear domed from what I can see.

Re: Toshiba 24d1434db / Vestal 17IPS61-3 help
Just to clear up some of the information above, are we saying:
Replace the UF5402 with a UF5408
Replace the SB5B0 with a SB5100 or similar (from this post https://www.badcaps.net/forum/showpost.php?p=624715&postcount=48)
ThanksRe: Toshiba 24d1434db / Vestal 17IPS...ount=48)

Re: Toshiba 24d1434db / Vestal 17IPS61-3 help
Right, so I've de-soldered the diodes and taken the readings again
D8 - no diode fitted
D9 (UF5402) - 0500 and OL when poles reversed
D10 (SB5B0) - dodgy
D11 - no diode fitted
D12 (SB5B0) - 0300 and OL when poles reversed
D25 (SB5B0) - 0300 and OL when poles reversed
So, my original questions still stand
I'll replace all the SB5B0 diodes but is there a better diode I can fit? Any suggestions?
Can I fit extra diodes in D11 and D8 without any issues? (On...
