hi could you help with a problem i have
i have a [B]X1 Yoga Gen 6 i removed U49 then read it and saved the bin file , then i wrote the bin fie to another winbond 256 and checked that it wrote the identical file ok to the
new chip but it always comes up with reading ME firmware and Failed to recover ME firmware also when i look in the bios setup the ME firmware is always missing
if i put the original chip in the ME firmware is displayed my question is does the X1 yoga winbond have a different serial no as the chips were identical i even checked...Leave a comment:

you can run the mina activation tool by putting the MacBook Pro in DFU Mode
but unless you pay the unreasonable $90 to $120 that mina resellers
want for letting you submit the serial you want to use
it will come up with the message "serial no authorised"
you can use the tool with the bin files with the tool but although
successful it will give wrong summary details in about this mac
