I'm sorry to bump this thread up. Its the only post showing up on google regarding ccfl issues (on the P2350).

My lcd screen didn't die (at least its not the black after 2 seconds issue), but it seems one ccfl went out (or tried to), as my room filled with this strange smell and my screen looked fine in the upper areas and faded on the lower ones.

If you don't mind i have a few questions about this:
1) How many ccfl does my monitor have?
2) What is the lenght of such ccfl?
3) A 22 inch...

It may be the weirdest introduction ever, but my lcd just got broken and this forum seems like the only place with the information available to get it fixed!
