Re: Asus A7N8X Deluxe - 6 bad caps, but board still stable
YAY! Thanks to this site, it's up and running again!
Looks like a mushroom cultivation since I had to use 12.5mm caps instaed of the original 10mm, but it's prefectly stable
I'll add pictures once I get my hands on a camera...
Might seem a bit odd, but have you tried running the TFT (LCD-monitor) as a standard PlugAndPlay device?
My Philips 150s runs without a problem without a specific driver for it installed.
Safe mode only loads the basic drivers essential to the system, and there are no problems then, so my thought is that perhaps the monitor driver isn't suited.
Re: Asus A7N8X Deluxe - 6 bad caps, but board still stable
My 1.4 board looked about the same, except that all three caps at the AGP were wasted, and hence the comp would crash frequently, especially when running 3D applications (read games hehehe)
Seems like a common problem in Europe, least when it comes to finding high rate components that aren't the size of a small bus (like the one I was offered when I in my desperation went to a TV repair shop lol)
