hi subroto, have you the schematic, to convert this mobo from discrete to UMA you need the schematic to make convert process easier, so if you already have it:
after remove the ATI chip, locate and add following component:
- R310 (LVDS_BLON_IGPU)
- R309 (DISP_ON_IGPU)
- R311 (DPST_PWM_IGPU)
next, :
- RP9, RP3, RP5, RP7, RP1 (LVDS and EDID)

without power ic, is it still short circuit?
first, make sure the short circuit is gone, if it still short circuit.
LID, I mean not the lid light, but a component that controlled lid to ec, usually 3 pin.
my tips: apply external power supply(no more than 3v) to the coil, with your finger find the component that heat up. then component that heat up is the problem that make a short circuit....Leave a comment:
