I swapped the ferrite tubes over, soldered on new rectifer. Got it all hooked up and everything works
Thanks STJ you saved me at the least $100 in parts alone.
So glad there are people out there willing to help and keeps form sites like these open.
Again I thank you, now to load up the camper and go....

Ok I got it desoldered and it's still shorting on just the part, I went ahead and ordered a new one, from what I got it's GBJ 2506 but ordered GBJ 2506F which is the same part but lead free.

If you look at attached pic's I also marked others spots that beep, but Im thinking that they're connected seems it's just the outter wires that beep.

Thanks for the fast reply Stj... I figured the center adjuster looks bad due to the silver stuff that appears to be leaking unlike the two next to it.
Any guidance on what or how to check the heatsink components?...

Pic's attached....
AC to DC power converter...anyone able to tell me what the square caps are on the board,(marked in pic). It appears blown and I can't find no numbers on them or anything else to help me look it up.
The marked pigtail fuse blew and I changed it out, it popped instantly. I found what appears some sort of cap that looks blown. Any and all help I'm very grateful for, thanks in advance...

I'm almost positive they are, I was thinking the same thing and did it a 2nd or third time to make sure. I can't find my small iron so yes I did put a few burnt spots on the board...

New cap was in the mail today after work, got it changed out hooked the board back in to the TV. Turned it on and nothing I thought for sure that was the problem. Any idea before I set it up for target practice?...

Not to my knowledge no one has touched it, it still has the factory sticker on it so I'm "assuming" it's original. I'm measuring 221 VDC on each leg of said PFC now with the correct GND....

I'm a carpenter... I was using the chassis for GND...
Care to tell me which is the main filter capacitor and which is the negative if not marked with a stripe...

The one that you said "don't look good" is what I had ordered already in hopes it's the problem like most others have had. Seeing it was buldging on the one end pretty bad....

400VDC ??? at best I'm reading 64.2VDC on either of the screws you showed as the PFC MOSFET...???
The STB stays at 2.08 and 2.09 VDC weather doing nothing, pressing the power button on the TV itself or trying the remote.
And yes the Relay does click but only once when 1st supplying power to the board....

A friend brought me this same TV with the same problem, hoping I could fix it for them. Watched a you tube video like someone else said,before finding this website No blown caps (except c842 appears swelled on one end) like everyone else. The one on this set is buldged on one end, all others look good. I ordered the cap from Digikey moments ago, so we'll see.
Didn't think I should start a new post with the same TV and same problems.
Digikey is out of part# 399-5982-ND so I ordered part# 495-3799-ND. Guess we'll see if...
