Hi all,
I've been using rubycon ZL and Panasonic FC/FM caps in the past.
I came accross a new series from Panasonic: FR. the datasheet mentions it's the same as FM.
As far as I can see it's the same as FM but longer life.
Anyone used the FR series?

I checked the voltage on all caps, it's 5V. So I will go for 2200uF 6.3V.
For the 1500's, I will use 1200uF on those between the pci/agp slots and use higer 1500uF were ther is space enough. -

Nice diagrams!
I have an 8K7A and an 8K7A+, both have the same caps, only difference with the diagrams, the 2200's on my boards are all 10V.
1. I assume the board only uses 6.3V, thus I can use only 6.3V caps (easier to find for 10mm).
2. The 1500's, are 10x15 mm, none of the supliers here has them. 1200's are available at 10x15. So I figure, if I use these (Panasonic EEUFC0J122) it will work to.
A lot of guessing of course, so answers much appreciated.

Got my capacitors today by ups:
- Rubycon 1000uF ZL
- Panasonic 1200 uF FC
- Rubycon 1500uF ZL
- Rubycon 3300uF ZL
Used my 40w Weller soldering Iron. In no time the caps were out.
I do not have andy kind of desoldering tool (except those mechanical pumps) so putting new caps in the board required some wiggeling.
System is running for an hour now (was 2 minutes in the past). Will test by running full virus scans and stuff like that.

Hi all,
I Have 2 of those boards failing on me the last 6 months (after 3 years of reliable service).
Both have the same issue: the 4 GSC 3300uF caps are leaking from the top.
I will recap this board but are looking for extra info:
1. Do I only replace the faulty ones, or the lot of them (4 3300µf, dozen 1000µf (supacon), couple 1200 µf (Choto?), 3 1500µf (supacon).
2. The board has room for 5 more capacitors in line with the 3300uF. Do I better install caps in these also. If so, what capacity?
