My daughter was watching netflix and told me the TV wasn't working.

I came in to see a screen with short lines in the upper left and a dark region lower right. No picture, just pixel like short lines.

Tried the input no dice.
Tried all the controls,only the power button worked.


I searched the forum for Pixelation and or screen not right. I was not able to locate one that matched my current symptoms.

I can upload pictures when I return home.

I watched a few videos on how to check parts. I feel comfortable...

My name is Brian.
TV went out yesterday, and my Asus Prime went out a few months back. (got it down to a video ribbon, that I didn't want to spend the money on to validate if I was right.

Anywho. I have several small kids and I want them to not be afraid to take things a part and knows what makes them tic. I also want them to respect the dangers. This seems to be the place to be to learn.

It would be fun to troubleshoot.

Watched a few videos on youtube but...
